Hammer and his team done a fantastic job plastering my house as well as updating electrics and carrying out pipe work . they completed the job to a high standard. Hammer is so polite and professional. He was clear about cost and time frame and he communicated well with me. I would have given Tom & Peter 5*s as they done an excellent job of laying my patio area, but my description was "Garden patio; adding 2 small retaining walls; replace shed roof". Unfortunately, replacing the shed roof was not included in the original quote and when I mentioned this was told it would not be too much. As they had done such a brilliant job on the paving, I asked if the price of levelling the decking could be included in the quote with the roof. The price given was way out of my budget, but because Tom is reasonable we agreed on a price. Tom agreed to return the following week and complete the works. Unfortunately he was not well and agreed to do this the following week - that was a couple of weeks ago. I've not heard anything since - a shame really, as he worked hard to ensure the patio area was done well. I therefore suggest making sure you receive a quote for "all" works and don't leave it to chance that what's been left off will be dealt with later.

Polite, professional and punctual. Alin and his colleague Constantin removed a stud wall and replaced it with a new better stud wall. They also did some plastering and fitted a new door for under stairs cupboard. Great team and nice chaps to work with.

Mihai is excellent with plastering and carpentry. There were lots of awkward places that needed plastering after a renovation - where a wall had been removed, two different depths of plaster to be connected, ceiling, doorways, loft hatch, where tiles had been removed, plus architraves round them all. Sebastian worked much more steadily then my previous builder and completed jobs in a reasonable time. He was easy to work with, able to listen, take instruction and direct, take the lead as and when appropriate. I would work with him again. There are two small points of criticism, I would not normally mention this type of minor point, however there are a lot of cowboy builders around, therefore it is worth making quality an issue, and really identifying the wheat from the chaff. The first point is he did not come with the basic safety equipment needed for building work for a domestic build job. E.g workman's gloves, helmet, face-mask and eye protection. He quickly realised that he needed them, so we wasted valuable time as he had to go and buy them. The second point is that I needed someone that was available. We discussed on the phone, that I wanted to do a one day trial followed by a commitment for weeks to complete a refurbishment. While he was only available for one day and then was booked indefinitely. I was not informed proactively, instead found out when I asked when he would be at work next for a delivery. I still give him positive feedback, because if you get his commitment he will give you reasonable work output of a reasonable quality, this is a good thing to know when there are so many cowboy builders around. He also was willing to give tips and advice on a job like the one I was engaged in. Getting valuable insight is priceless.

Riley did a great job of installing ornate duropolymer coving very neatly. He also sourced the product for me at a good price. He turned up when he said he would, carried out the job and left the house neat and tidy when he finished. He also provided good advice. He has taken care to obtain training for specific kinds of plastering work, so I could trust him to do a good job. He was also very polite and pleasant to deal with. Would definitely recommend.
