Took him 2 days to give us a quote, started a job (coming late, didn’t turn up on the second day) did a poor quality work (he didn’t sand the walls properly, made blisters on the wall, there are dark patches all over our walls that meant to be white - it’s worse than what it was before) asked us to pay him, we complained about the poor quality but still paid him - then he said he underpriced us and yet it took him 2 days to get back to us with his quote and he disappeared without completing! We lost sleep over this! We thought there were only professionals on this website but we were clearly wrong... very very very disappointing

Duncan originally agreed to start on Monday 26 Feb but later sent me a text saying he can not start until Tuesday. We mutually agreed the offer was retracted due to his delayed start that did not work for me. I have no feedback other than to note we agreed to retract the offer and I have booked with someone else. Duncan sent me a text agreeing the offer is retracted and he will not be doing it.

Accepted quote in July 2018 to start work September 2018 on an approx 10 day painting job . Despite best weather for nearly 40 years Mr Findon did not take advantage of this and gave sporadic committment to the job . At the end of January 2019 the job is not completed and we have had to arrange another painter and decorator to finish his work .Would not recommend Mr Findon to others or use him again .

Mr Hallam visited to quote for the job, he knew exactly what there was to be done. I was purchasing the materials needed and as an 'expert' (his words, not mine) he advised how much slate, coping stones and slabs required to complete the job. He said the job would take 1 day, which was extremely optimistic even with 2 men helping. It took 2 days and he over estimated on the materials costing me money that I needn't of paid. Mr Hallam talks more than he works and demands coffee a lot. Not once did any of them clean up after themselves, I spent ages tidying up cement dust, dried up cement and dog ends which they threw all over my garden. Because the slate was late being delivered Mr Hallam said he would pop back and help out but was nowhere to be seen. I, as a 58 year old woman had to move 3 tons of slate from the front of the property to the back, 3 tons which was double what was needed. The first slab under my new greenhouse is loose and moves when you walk on it. He said he would come back and fix it but won't give a date or a time and as the job finished 2 weeks ago I don't expect him to show. The loose slab is a health and safety issue. I paid him cash and never received a receipt or any warrantee certificates. I even paid for a skip so he didn't have to take the old shed away which he quoted for in the price. A complete disaster and I regret ever meeting Mr Hallam who over estimated the materials and under estimated the time it would take. Hire this man at your own peril.

Not good i'm afraid. Alan was contracted to complete some settlement snagging, works included raking out cracks in plastered walls and re-glossing door frames etc. Alan had numerous attempts at painting the walls but continually left thin patches, as a result these walls had to be re-painted by myself, the gloss work on the door frames was poor with many runs left, as a result of this all the woodwork needs a complete re-paint. Alan struggled at completing a full days work, his contracted hours were 8.00 until 4.30pm, on a daily basis Alan would begin to pack up at around 3.15pm and be gone by 3.45pm Alan was continually asked not to smoke outside my clients front door as the smoke would drift into the property, he was asked this on many occasions but continued to do it. Alan paid no respect to my clients property and on a daily occasion would leave tea stains on my clients marble worktop and a cup of used tea bags on the side. I ended up removing the tea making facility and asked him to bring his own and make his drinks outside of the property. Alan services are not required further, as a direct result of Alan's performance what should of been a 4 day remedial project ended up taking 12 days and I am still left to rectify the works.

Mike and Barry came to give me a quote and a start date in February to begin the work in March. I called and messaged them a week before the job was planned to start and there was no response. They didn’t ever return my calls or messages and did not do the work. Totally unreliable and unprofessional.

Big disappointment and poor experience with this company. We were looking to do a complete strip and redesigning of our bathroom. Spent hours designing and on site visits from Sukhi Jaspal. Advance payment sent as asked and signed contract. Cancelled the job at the last minute saying that the bathroom fitter has moved to London. I offered to wait till she finds a new fitter thinking that a lot of effort and time had gone into designing and didn't fancy doing it all over again with a new builder. Also had taken time off work for the days the building work was to be carried out. Lack of communication - Didn't answer calls or messages. Fortunately, was able to get the deposit back.

Hard Flooring- 15 Aug 2026
Have had to reduce my rating as this job has still not been completed. Virgil has not been back to complete the flooring in my kitchen despite saying he would return to complete post his MOT. (Previously written) ….. Very fast response and fantastic job at laying the laminate work, quality job. Very hard working - stayed late and helped with getting materials. Some confusion around scope of work / cost but if that is all ironed out before hand you will get a good job. Would say he is on the more expensive side.

We added a few jobs to the list. On one hand, the guys came in and did the work in the agreed time and were nice and professional. On the other hand, looking at the work the next day I'm not happy. My husband checked it, not me! It's not entirely their fault as we weren't 100% thorough with the smaller details and I didn't check up on their work during, so we are very much partly to blame. I have photos of all their work. - The alcove was done quickly & correctly, but there is now a gap between the cupboard door and wall, the sealant in the corners has edged onto the grey walls which isn't a very clean finish. They mirror was put up fine. - The very large spare room mirror was put up flush to the wall which was good, but it's not in the centre. Off to one side by about two-thee inches. Will need to redo. - They redid some grout on a few of the kitchen floor tiles but they been done grey and it's grainy, which doesn't match the rest which is black. Will need to redo. - The garden deck step was replaced, they spotted it was rotten underneath, which was true. They replaced it fine but they didn't ask us for our deck stain and painted the new board red. Will need to redo. - Wallpapering our downstairs toilet. We ran out of wallpaper but I have to say the entire job was awful. Air bubbles on every wall, the patten wasnt matching on each panel, pretty shocking. We sent them photos so they took off the cost of the wallpaper as it wasn't cheap. Will need to redo.
