Being new to the area of North Devon it's often difficult to who to employ for your building work so I erred on the side of caution when it came to a large driveway extension job and started off by putting out to tender a smaller job of building a new retaining wall. Matt provided an excellent before, during and after service. His quote was clear and concise and professionally delivered and although the work started a week later than originally planned once he started on the job he continued on it to its completion. I was now confident enough to now offer him the rest of the work involving the widening of our driveway. Matt was happy for me to be involved with the build at all the various stages and listened patiently to my ideas, offering his expertise, experience and advise along the way. It's not often you find that tradesmen willing to lend this amount of cooperation but having spent a lifetime of preferring to perform my own DIY I wanted someone I felt wouldn't mind me occasionally mucking in and someone who was not averse to being flexible to my evolving ideas on how I wanted the final look. When it came to the real labour intensive work he brought in his team of helpers who he's had working for him a long time. They were equally considerate, conscientious and a pleasure to be around. Between them they formed a tightly knit team and Matt and his crew would definitely be someone I'd recommend

Came to view what work needed to be done, talked us through our options and then gave us a very reasonable quote as well as putting us in touch with other trades which were required. From start til completion Steve has been highly professional and meticulous in his work often going above and beyond what was asked and required of him to ensure the job was completed to time and to his own high standards! Steve gave a good and honest quote for our refurb job. He and Noah were clean, efficient and excellent tradesmen. The job went on because of delivery problems on goods I specified but Steve took the responsibility of managing all aspects of the job and took the stress from us when wrong, faulty goods were delivered or even delivered to the wrong address. Steve just got on with it and worked around all the problems. The outcome is great, Steve would not call the job finished untill every small detail was to the best standard and it was he who defined the standard which was very high. I have always done the work in the past but hung up my toolkit this year with some trepidation. I found this site by accident and offered the job to Steve and am quite happy to recommend him to anyone. A great job which my wife and I am really happy with. Thanks for letting me give feedback.

Richard was brilliant - he did an excellent job. His attention to detail and thorough prep work meant the house looked amazing once finished. He kept me updated with texts on the days when I wasn’t there and worked late when the deadline was brought forward, which was hugely appreciated. He worked very tidily throughout, was extremely helpful when I had some DIY queries working alongside him, and all in all made the whole experience remarkably straightforward and pleasant. I would have no hesitation in using him again.

We hired Lucian to fit our bathroom. He carried out the tasks of plumbing of the toilet, sink, shower and bath, fitting false walls to hide pipes, installation of under floor heating, floor and wall tiling, plastering and finishing. All work was done to a high standard and we would definitely hire Lucian again.
