We have been in business since April 2010 as L.G Decorating & Tiling after a few years in the trade we decided to put all of our trade skill/experience together and got our self retrained in certain trades, so we could offer more services in the business. We then decided on the name of Gorveys which was formed in April 2017.

Lucas painted and wallpapered my master bedroom, hall stairs and landing. Lucas was reliable and turned up when he said he would. He was a clean and tidy worker, he didn't splash paint on anything. I found him to be conscientious and hard working. I was more than satisfied with the quality of his work, I would say it's to a high standard. I found Lucas to be very personable and easy to get along with. I would use him again and be happy to recommend him.

Chris came and gave an instant written quote, which is very unusual these days. He sent 2 of his painters to do the job and we were very pleased with the completed work. It was fast and very professionally done. They were very friendly and clean. Would recommend anytime.

We hired Ashley to get our front and back gardens back under control after it had gone wild while I was injured and my husband was in hospital. He's very friendly, professional, and has great communication skills. He did an amazing job and got everything done in one day. Did a lot of preparing the walls Only 1 and half walls I had to tell her that I had to go back in hospital so I don’t know when I’ll be home I gave 4stars because even with the whole job and dust sheets she somehow managed to get the paint on my brand new carpet and rug so that’s my only bug bear

The standard of work was abysmal. The photos in the photo gallery must have been taken from someone else's site. Catalogue of errors. Where do I start. - Failed to follow the instructions on boarding the ceiling, instead boxing off part of the room. - Much of the insulation was removed, - The boards were not properly screwed down, leaving unlevelled floor board, with dips and rises in the floor. - Both the flooring and ceiling boards had gaps, which were filled with foam. - The work caused cracks in the ceiling below. - The original fitted loft door was cut. This was cut short. Then repaired by putting another piece of wood on top. The loft door is now two pieces of board stuck together, which is unsightly to look at. -Since the "job" was done the loft door does not stay closed, as the lock was not properly fitted probably due to the loft door not fitting. -The ladder is flimsy, the cheapest on the market. As the loft is high I have been told that the ladder is inadequate. I requested the receipt to return it. The receipt was sent to me after the 30 days that the ladder was purchased. The shop were it was brought refused to take it back as it was outside the refund period. The flooring is so bad it has to be boarded over, which is an additional cost. The plasterer had to screw down boards before he could start plastering.

5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I hired Sam to paint my bedroom, after previous builders plastered the walls. Unfortunately my room was left in a state. The walls were uneven, there was lots of holes and cracks which in turn made Sam’s job as a painter more challenging. Nonetheless, Sam was so helpful and really put in his time and effort to fixing the previous work whilst also doing an immaculate paint job. Sam went above and beyond to help me sand the walls, cork the skirtings and filling all the cracks and holes which was additional to what I had asked him. He painted all the walls perfectly and also painted my ceiling, skirtings and door. I highly, highly recommend Sam. P.S Thank you much Sam. I really really appreciate everything you’ve done for me.
