I have a 1960s 130 square metre terraced house in ealing broadway. All the walls and ceilings were really bad as had not been decorated for decades. My tenants had painted some walls a terrible grey colour, put up horrible wallpaper as well as doing an awful paintjob on my fence in the garden. I put up a mybuilder request and negotiated with 5+ builders. I chose Julian as his pricing was the most competitive, but not a ridiculous cheap offer and because I had a good feeling about him from his reviews and our first phone conversation. He did a great job, prepping, sanding, plastering ceilings and walls where needed, replacing and touching up skirting boards, painting my garage, external balcony, fences and fixing and painting my damp hall entrance. He had great attention to detail, did a very professional job and was fair in his pricing when extra things came up during the job. I highly recommend him and am very pleased I chose him. We have never used MyBuilder.com before and were nervous about the experience we might have. We should never have worried about a thing! From the moment Krystian got in touch he was polite and knowledgeable without being pushy. He started within a short time of being given the job and the quality of his work was visible right from the start. Krystian was also very tidy, cleaning up after himself everyday and making sure that doorways were sealed as much as possible to stop dust getting through. Krystian was able to offer creative ideas as well as practical suggestions. His plumber/electrician and other associates all adhere to his high standards. The final job looks amazing, several of our neighbours have seen the work and have got Krystian lined up for work in their own homes. The only sad thing is that we will have to join the back of the queue to get the next part of our home completed.

Lukasz was nice and prompt, but unfortunately, he was not able to hang out wallpaper in a satisfactory manner. Even after he came back to fix some initial issues and tears in the paper, as well as spaces where you could see the wall between the wallpaper drops (to his credit, he attempted the repairs on his own dime), there are still visible lines where the wallpaper joins and it does not look remotely like what we expected from a premium wallpaper installer—we went with Lukasz's higher price tag because he said he had worked with this kind of paper (Cole & Sons) before. Unfortunately, we will now likely have to buy all new wallpaper and have another decorator start the job over, costing us over £3k in damages.

Job(s) - Painting bathroom/Kitchen work - Clapham Adel came round for the free quote and offered so many good suggestions and even made recommendations based on top of what we wanted, that would technically or visual look better - they were good ideas. His expertise and experience were very useful in any of the jobs we wanted doing. The Job itself was completed in only a few days and to a high standard, Adel was always there to communicate and his flexibility to get the work done round our timescales was great. He appreciated we had a family and would be living the house during the works and the house was left tidy at the end of each. If work was quoted and turned out not to be needed, it was simply not charged for and removed from the final payment. Thanks to Adel and his team. Would i hire again - Yes
