Lucian approached every element with care and precision, from the perfectly mitred tile edges to the beautiful finish throughout. Very pleased with our choice. We initially got four quotes from different builders, most of them were terrible at communicating apart from Alfred. He was very easy to work with, responsive and very careful with our brand new house. His team was hard working, tidy and fast. They completely renovated our garden from removal of old decking and gravel to setting up new fences, levelling and turfing the ground. They also removed our old kitchen, partition wall and carpet, as well as did jobs like plastering, building a wall and set up lights and shelves. We’ll surely have him back soon to work on other jobs.

Quite literally the worst tradesman I have ever worked within 25 years as a property developer! He came and quoted to paint my house (a good price I must say), little did I know that this meant he would spray everything that he can see, not prepare the surfaces by sanding them down or protects things. This included door handles, hinges, radiators, alarms sensors, tiles and my own furniture and cooking utensils. First time I confronted him about this he said that we would clean everything, and we agreed to carry own. However, it became apparent that we was doing the same as previously discussed. have paid hi 66% of what was agreed, I quickly realised that the damaged he has caused was going to cost me far more and I told him to leave. The next day he turned up at my house with his wife demanding the balance which I refused to give him, they were both shouting outside my house, threatening to call the police. I eventually agreed to pay the 50% of what was left, just so that they would leave. However, even once he had confirmed writing his acceptance of this, he walks over to me and threatened me one final time, saying that he will take me to court etc, there is god and he will see to me! I advise to stay away from this person, better to pay a little more and work with professionals who don't agree with one thing and do another. He paints using a spray, which means you can not touch anything up and he quite literally paints everything he sees!!

Maria painted my hall, stairs & landing (including hard to reach ceilings) which was not in great condition in some areas & some fresh new wood from newly added panelling. She prepped all the new woodwork & sanded all the existing. She was meticulous in her prep, at the same time as being efficient & tidy. Her work ethic is great. I trusted her to do a great job & gave her a key. We agreed she would complete the job in a certain timeframe. She sent update pictures whilst I was away. I was delighted to walk into a freshly painted new hallway, which had been done on time, left in immaculate state & excellent paint job. Would highly recommend.

Adam Favor and NOVA Design & Build are a nice bunch of guys and they are reliable/helpful. However, when it came to coving, architrave and flooring, acceptable standards were unfortunately not met. Other specialists had to be brought in to re-do around 20% of the job; namely certain sections of the cornice and door architrave. In the former, a few things were below standard including: 1) not joining the friezes in the correct places, 2) cutting inaccurately, 3) leaving gaps, 4) using silicon as a filler and adhesive. For the door architrave, the wood was misaligned and not glued/nailed properly. The flooring was not laid well because there are huge gaps at times; sometimes at 1 cm. Since the kitchen has been installed, it is too late to take up the floorboards again. The most dubious thing of all in this job was the quote received for decorating which was c. 15k for 47 m2. This included plastering repairs, but ultimately the job got done by someone else to a high standard at 7k.
