I did my due diligence on Vullcan, but things went downhill. After a week i got a pre-tax invoice for £3000 for a more "complex" drainage system which was already completed, this was the start of them trying to get around contract items and look for every way possible to charge extra fees which i can’t go through in the word limit here. When that dint work they refused to do the work. e.g. they literally installed a tempered glass sheet, with liquid glue on my roof and stated to me that this was a "roof window". I had to show them buildings regulations that this was unacceptable and illegal especially when our contract said it has to be a VELUX ROOF WINDOW! Promised a 6-8 week completion, this is 9 months later. I had now paid about 90% of the original bill and 100% of additional costs. The final payment was due after completion and a 2 week snagging period. But the demand for payments started, with threats to sue. This was laughable as they hadn't completed the job. •The roof was leaking •Electrical issues with the fuse box and multiple light /electrical points •Outstanding items •The buildings controls company stated they would not be able to sign off on the building work because of outstanding issues, which I wouldn’t have even known as they lied stating they HAD the certificate. I agreed to send a FULL payment to an escrow company and pay HALF of the costs so they can complete and fix safety issues but they refused! Shameful experience.

I have been doing general handyman duties from a very early age at home. I bought my first by-to-let property in 2021 and did majority of the work by myself. Tasks included, carpet removal, flooring installation, complete rewriting of lights and sockets, flooring installation, painting, gardening, hedge trimming, jetting etc so I have experience with electrics, plumbing, and gardening also as well as handy man jobs. I opened a beauty salon in 2022 where I did a complete fit out which included making a partition wall, building and installing a sliding door, flooring, pipework, bespoke shelf creation, wiring, painting, applying vinyl wall sticker, installing ceiling mounted TV, sign fitting, designing etc. I’ve done other jobs helping a friend doing garden levelling, building a bespoke cupboard, door planing etc. I’m based in NW London and prefer to work in this part of London but I can travel to most parts of London to carry out jobs. I never leave a job unfinished and will come back if necessary to finish anything off.
