We hired Lauren to paint a problem wall in our bathroom that regularly bubbled and peeled. We wanted the job completed when we were on holiday, which could have been complicated. However, she dealt with this very professionally and did an excellent job. After a few weeks, there are no signs of the previous problems returning

Chris was just brilliant, felt very easy having him in our home and he did the job exactly as we asked him to and with excellent timing. He was very helpful with any queries we had and also super tidy and we, who work from home, were able to carry on undisturbed by him. Highly recommend this friendly, highly skilled, reliable individual to do painting and decorating and other building requirements. We had a hole in the bathroom ceiling and he's fixed that up beautifully too. A very good experience all round.

Adam turned up to quote and carry out the work on time. He provided temporary protection to the hallway leading to the kitchen where the ceiling was reskimmed. Awkward job with wall units left in place, all well protected and job done well. Returned the 2nd day to decorate. Very good job left clean and tidy.

Mr Hallam visited to quote for the job, he knew exactly what there was to be done. I was purchasing the materials needed and as an 'expert' (his words, not mine) he advised how much slate, coping stones and slabs required to complete the job. He said the job would take 1 day, which was extremely optimistic even with 2 men helping. It took 2 days and he over estimated on the materials costing me money that I needn't of paid. Mr Hallam talks more than he works and demands coffee a lot. Not once did any of them clean up after themselves, I spent ages tidying up cement dust, dried up cement and dog ends which they threw all over my garden. Because the slate was late being delivered Mr Hallam said he would pop back and help out but was nowhere to be seen. I, as a 58 year old woman had to move 3 tons of slate from the front of the property to the back, 3 tons which was double what was needed. The first slab under my new greenhouse is loose and moves when you walk on it. He said he would come back and fix it but won't give a date or a time and as the job finished 2 weeks ago I don't expect him to show. The loose slab is a health and safety issue. I paid him cash and never received a receipt or any warrantee certificates. I even paid for a skip so he didn't have to take the old shed away which he quoted for in the price. A complete disaster and I regret ever meeting Mr Hallam who over estimated the materials and under estimated the time it would take. Hire this man at your own peril.

They were able to take advantage of good weather and completed the job quickly and efficiently. They arrived early in the day and ensured everything was clean when they left. The house is now the cleanest painted in the street!
