How long does a typical painting and decorating project take in Godalming?

Project length varies with the size and nature of the work. A single room might take a few days, while larger jobs like whole-house decorating or detailed woodwork can take several weeks. Factors like surface preparation, drying times, and weather conditions for exterior work also affect the schedule.

What kind of paint or finishes are suitable for Godalming homes?

In Godalming, common choices include matte and eggshell finishes for interiors due to their elegant look and ease of touch-ups. For exterior surfaces, weather-resistant paints that cope with the local climate, such as moisture and temperature changes, are essential for lasting protection.

How do decorators prepare surfaces in older or period homes in Godalming?

Surface preparation in Godalming may involve cleaning, filling cracks, sanding, and sometimes treating issues like dampness. Proper prep is key to paint adhesion and finish durability, especially in homes with plaster, lath walls, or older wood.

Will painters and decorators in Godalming help with colour selection or test samples?

Many decorators offer guidance on colour choices based on lighting and room use and can provide sample swatches or test patches to help you visualise the final look before commitment.

Borjon was brilliant. He was reasonably priced and was more than happy to help with extra jobs when they arose and did not add to the bill. Very friendly, efficient and did an excellent job. Would highly recommend.

We hired Joshua at short notice to do a number of different jobs, including fixing wooden outer window ledges, fixing an outside wooden fence, lots of indoor and outdoor painting, replacing woodwork in the canopy outside our front door, cleaning the patios and paths leading to the front door, replacing rotten wood in the fascias by the roof. Throughout he has had an failingly polite and positive mindset. He came up with suggestions to our home improvement problems that were both practical and economical. We would have no hesitation in calling Josh again for his skills, very reasonable rates and can-do approach. It has been a pleasure to work with him.

Very poor work completed and would never recommend them. Feature wall had two middle of the wall joints, along with a two joints on one strip of paper. All of the painting completed was not complete and had patches. the covering had patches and clearly needed a second coat. Owner claimed works could be done in one day but then spread over two days which then resulted in them not coming back to complete to job. I'm now left with an unfinished room which I have to rectify. owner has taken the full payment and not prepared to refund any and is claiming its all my fault yet i left them to decorate rather than stand over them to watch them decorate. Would never use this company again nor recommend them.

Tiling- 9 Jan 2021
Marcin knows what he does, and advises the right things to do. He is diligent and through with his work. Came in to provide a quote, looking at the work to be done, he said that he could complete in the next couple of hrs. and as promised he fixed the shower floor tiles and leak proofed it. I would recommend Marcin, and in fact already lined him up for some tiling work to be done in the bathroom.
