Adam was great. He was courteous, conscientious and very professional. We initially had a phone call with him to talk through the details, and we sent some photos to further clarify the job. Already he seemed to be taking things very seriously and asking lots of questions, wanting to get the full picture. He agreed to do the job the next day (which was a lifesaver for us!), and he arrived several minutes early(!). Adam examined the existing pipe work, the radiator, valves, our boiler thoroughly and discussed different possible ways of tackling the job. We agreed with him, and he went away to pick up the appropriate materials (included in his quote). Once he got in to the job, it proved to be trickier than anyone foresaw. However, Adam always checked any alterations to his original plan with us before proceeding. Throughout the job he was highly professional and knowledgeable and a nice guy too! I would recommend Adam for any plumbing-type job, especially radiators!

Provided a very reasonable quote and went beyond what was included to help me with some mistakes I had made in materials ordered etc. The job itself was perfect, Costa is a perfectionist and the quality of work was brilliant. I hired John because he said he had many years experience. I was hoping for a no nonsense quality job. Instead I got an average quality job from a disorganised, very grumpy individual. We asked for extras to be done beyond the original agreement but I paid him very generously, and more, for the extras without questions. Foolishly, I paid him in full before the snagging and touch-ups were done because he said he need the cash. I trusted him but he never came back to complete the job. My partner and I were only ever polite and respectful to him while he was in our house but when I contacted him to finish the job, he just slagged me off without any explanation. Now he refuses to take calls or reply to messages. So if you're looking for a mediocre paint job from a moany, resentful, negative man who will leave you in the lurch at first opportunity, then John's the man for you! You have been warned. Never pay a tradesman in full until you're 100% happy the job is complete!

Job: reinstall 1 blinds, and install 1 door handle, £100. Great if you’re looking to install venetian blinds onto a brick wall. Hoovered the dust directly whilst drilling which was appreciated! However, they did not have the tools needed to install the door handle/mortice lock, which was discussed before the appointment so I can only assume you were unprepared. They did not fulfil this task. I thought you were being polite by putting the old door handle back on as you failed to install the new one. I could have done that easily myself, for free, I only removed it to prepare for the job. Was not expecting to pay the £100 quoted just to put the old handle back on instead of a mortice lock handle. I’ve booked a locksmith and will have to pay more to complete a job I have essentially paid for already... In future, if you have not completed a task I would not charge the customer the full amount quoted, respectfully. You were polite despite this and clean, and as for the blinds the job done was satisfactory, well done! I also appreciate that you took a trip to screw fix to find a handle easier to install, even though you came back empty handed. A for effort. I’m not greatly concerned over the money, but thought it overall was unfair and a waste of time. I only paid as I felt sympathetic 2 tradesmen spent 3 hours installing 1 set of blinds, taking an unsuccessful trip to screw fix and fiddling around with a door handle. Thank you for installing the blinds though!
