Job: reinstall 1 blinds, and install 1 door handle, £100. Great if you’re looking to install venetian blinds onto a brick wall. Hoovered the dust directly whilst drilling which was appreciated! However, they did not have the tools needed to install the door handle/mortice lock, which was discussed before the appointment so I can only assume you were unprepared. They did not fulfil this task. I thought you were being polite by putting the old door handle back on as you failed to install the new one. I could have done that easily myself, for free, I only removed it to prepare for the job. Was not expecting to pay the £100 quoted just to put the old handle back on instead of a mortice lock handle. I’ve booked a locksmith and will have to pay more to complete a job I have essentially paid for already... In future, if you have not completed a task I would not charge the customer the full amount quoted, respectfully. You were polite despite this and clean, and as for the blinds the job done was satisfactory, well done! I also appreciate that you took a trip to screw fix to find a handle easier to install, even though you came back empty handed. A for effort. I’m not greatly concerned over the money, but thought it overall was unfair and a waste of time. I only paid as I felt sympathetic 2 tradesmen spent 3 hours installing 1 set of blinds, taking an unsuccessful trip to screw fix and fiddling around with a door handle. Thank you for installing the blinds though!

Hired Gabriel Pahontu for doing the painting of my lounge, porch,bedroom and bathroom. Gabriel was very punctual in all dealings,very professional and patient in clarifying all sorts of questions before staring the work, very tidy and clean through out the job and at the end. And above all he is a very honest person. He lives and breathes quality and his attention to details for high standards and his effort to getting that perfect finish is amazing. I found that his price is also very reasonable. My partner and I are very happy with the output and would hire him again for more new projects. Thanks a ton to Gabriel and his team.

We are very happy with the painting and filling work that James did in our bedroom. Compared to other decorators we have had in the past, we could see that James knew his trade and possessed good techniques to give a professional finish to his work. We had some issues with wallpaper bubbling up and cracking but he was able to fill-in those areas, and then painted over them. He did an excellent job so we couldn't see those problem spots anymore. James was very polite and respected our wishes in terms of keeping our new carpet clean. We would definitely recommend him as we plan to use him again in the future.

When I hired Thurrock Building Services to paint and decorate my 2 bedroom flat I was still in the process of moving in. Adil was happy to pick up the keys and get on with the job unattended. Adil was very professional from start to finish. He provided me with an update everyday and was careful to ensure that everything was exactly to my specifications. After finishing the job in good time with his team, Adil assured me that he would come back the next day if there was anything I was unsatisfied with. After the job my flat looked perfect(especially my ceilings which were originally covered in large chips and scrapes before the team made them look as good as new). Thanks Thurrock Building Services!
