Very terrible job, he gave the job to someone else and the guy did a terrible job. I called and chatted him several times but he wouldn’t respond to my me . My worst experience hiring a trade man. The painter promised to drop the remaining paints but as soon as I left home, he left with one of the paints he had already packed and left in my kitchen. He promised to return the paint but he never did but he kept on lying and tossing me up and down. I will NEVER hire him again👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

Turned up to the job started aggressively telling me that the walls were not ready to be painted, even though they had seen the walls when they quoted. The plasterer had finished everything, all that was required was a tiny bit of sanding and hole filling left over from electrician. I offered increase payment to cover work. They said they could do it, but that they claimed was not included but still left in a huff. Said I'd lied to them. Hardly professional. Weeks waiting for them, I was very open about the place and would have paid for the difference if they felt it was not clear. Really messes my job up.

Outstanding work carried out from start to finish, old wooden ceiling torn down and disposed of. Kitchen fully protected from start to finish, ceiling was freshly plastered, new spotlights added and looks amazing, left to dry for a week and then painted both ceiling and walls. Couldn't be more happy with all the work carried out and would highly recommend to anyone that's needing work done in their home

LJH as they were best price. Initially gave 7 days but the cost was too high and agreed 5 days as decorating the whole house. I had given Lee instruction to sand walls and skirting boards decorate all walls, ceiling, skirting boards, doors and stairs white. Upon near completion, I had inspected the work and mentioned some areas I wasn’t happy with? I mentioned this to Decorator. He then asked how well I wanted it decorated at this point I was confused as I had given instructions. I felt that work had been rushed There was also times when I went to the property and Lee Decorator was not there. I did raise this with Lee the Decorator and he says as long as long as the job was done. After work had been completed I made the mistake of paying before viewing completed work. Decorator had to come back as there were issues I will not be using LJH again.

Bathroom Fitting- 8 Mar 2026
We recently had our full bathroom renovation completed by Mikey and Jacob and couldn’t recommend them highly enough. From the start they were friendly, polite and extremely professional. As we were staying away from home during the renovation, it was important that we trusted the people working in our house. Mikey and Jacob made that very easy, keeping us updated and always taking the time to talk through ideas and answer questions. Our bathroom is quite small so the options were limited, but that didn’t stop them from helping us create a beautiful, spa like space. They went the extra mile to bring our vision to life, offering ideas and practical solutions to make the most of the space. Their attention to detail and quality of workmanship is outstanding. The bathroom has been finished to such a high standard and we’re absolutely delighted with the result. Both Mikey and Jacob were a pleasure to deal with and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Thank you both! 🌟

Roofing (Pitched)- 27 Nov 2017
I would strongly recommend that you don't hire Mr Johnstone. His inexperience meant he didnt find reason for water ingress that another more experienced roofer did quickly and easily. The problem wasnt resolved but he failed to respond to various requests to return and discuss/rectify matters. All efforts failed (including that of MyBuilder) and I never heard from him again. His work guarantee isnt upheld and cant be relied on. He left a badly positioned roof tile and spilled a lot of white paint on my roof, leaving it permanently marked. I had to hire another roofer who repaired the leak and also some other significant issues which Mr Johnstone didnt pick up on. He doesnt take before and after photos of repairs for customers which all good roofers should. He left the worksite in a mess and I had to clear up after him. A costly, frustrating and stressful experience.
