Planning permission was granted. Very professional and knowlegeable friendly man. I would definitely recommend.

Latest review:Having terminated a contract with a builder for a garden room because of unsatisfactory workmanship and overrun on the completion date we needed a builder quickly. Adrian Greenmore was recommended to us by a friend . Within a day Adrian had come, assessed the work needed. We were given a clear comprehensive quotation and a draft contract. Work started and finished within the contract period. Sub-contract work was arranged and available for use more quickly than was expected. Adrian and his employees worked hard and efficiently. Some detailed work was done to a very high standard. It was always a pleasure to have them on site being polite and considerate. There were a couple of occasions when they were needed elsewhere. We were always told in advance and when they would be back ; usual no more than one or two days. Therefore we were never left wondering about 'disappearing builders'. When finished the work was passed by our architect and planning officer who was very pleased with the way the new-build jelled with the house and environment. The final invoice was as expected with no hidden costs. It was detailed and clear making everything much easier to understand. Both my wife and I would have no hesitation in recommending Adrian Greenmore to potential customers. We feel that we were given quality and, above all, a lack of hassle and frustration. We would be willing to allow inspection of the building with, of course appropriate warning.
Phil and Sonny were courteous, professional, clean and competent. We'd definitely recommend them to anybody and will be in-touch again for more work! Phil was quick to respond and set-up a time to quote, and got back to us promptly with a clear and transparent schedule of works. Once we agreed to go ahead, Phil was great in setting up a time for the work and messaged a few days before with a start time and a list of what would be undertaken on each day. To open up the doorway, Phil chose a method that would produce minimal dust and rubble was cleared as they worked. Blocking up the previously open doorway and making good on the previously bricked up one was done to a super high standard and in a way appropriate to the space. At the end of each work-day, the site was left really clean. Whenever there was a decision to be made, Phil laid everything out in a way I could understand and it felt like everything was done in exactly the way we needed. We're super happy with the result, once we paint it, you wouldn't know the doorways had been swapped around!

I have put a 30 mile radius in my preferences but if the job sounds interesting I will travel further. Recently I have worked in Sheringham, Reedham and Westleton. I set out buildings and extensions, dig the foundations and concrete. Lay the bricks and blocks and install first floor joists. Sometimes I put the roof on and then felt, batten and tile. I lay the drainage and landscape. I am methodical in my work and have always achieved high standards.

Latest review:Extensions-Steve and Andy are absolutely brilliant. Steve initially came to quote for our job and we instantly knew he was the one we wanted to build our extension. We were very impressed with his experience and knowledge and his quote was competitive. Both Steve and Andy arrived every day they said they would and with their bubbly personalities, made a usually stressful experience, feel like a walk in the park. With 3 children, 1 dog and 2 newly released kittens, they accomodated us all. They communicated with us throughout and kept us informed daily. They handled the building inspections efficiently and professionally. Our single storey extension they built, has been completed to a high standard, incorporating roof lanterns, a window and bifold doors. It has made our family life easier, with the addition of space for a new kitchen and downstairs cloakroom, with the old kitchen becoming a bedroom for our eldest. Thanks so much Steve and Andy, you almost became a part of our family and we miss you already. We have no hesitation in recommending G L Building Services and suggest prospective customers don't delay in making that call!

Latest review:Extensions-Marin provided a competitive quote for our building work. This included partial demolition of an old 1980s flat-roof extension, construction of an additional area, and a number of openings being made to remodel our kitchen and dining room. As part of the work we also had underfloor heating installed, flooring, and a kitchen fitted. We were initially impressed with the detail of the quote and the clear breakdown of pricing and payments. This included a Gantt chart to show expected progress. We also liked the fact that there was a relatively small deposit to be paid upfront, which was a contrast to some of the other builders we had contacted. The weekly payment schedule set in the quote seemed fair for both us and Marin, with the cost of the work spread over the expected duration. Every week there was progress, and we therefore felt comfortable paying each installment. The total cost for the work was exactly as quoted. Marin managed the team of builders throughout the project and we have been very pleased with the quality of the work. There were lots of details that I thought would be problems, however, Marin and the team are very experienced and able to problem solve any issues. Marin also managed the building control inspections to ensure that the construction was as per the approved drawings. We are very happy with the end result and would have no hesitation using Marin again for any future work.
