Jay came to price the job after making contact and his communication was clear. We live in a very old house with lots of quirks; he took this into account and saved us a bit of money with the plastering. Plaster was falling off the ceiling and a couple of walls and he inspected the whole room, telling us we were fine to leave two of the walls as they were, as all seemed solid. I imagine he could have told us to have the whole room done, but instead we only had done what was needed. Jay managed to slot us in quickly, completing the work over two half days (allowing the pre-plaster adhesive coat to dry over night), finishing the job on a Saturday morning as a team of two. The price quoted was what we were charged. It's now been about a month since the work was completed, and we're very happy with the results. The room was skimmed nicely and the surface was very smooth. We coated it with Screwfix bare plaster paint before giving it a top coat, and the finish is great. We'll be using him again for future jobs and I have no problems recommending him.

We were happy before it rained and we thoroughly checked their work. They left mess, razor sharp edges on the glass, and glass overhanging neighbours land a little bit. We asked them to return to remedy this which they said they would do this coming Tuesday. Since then we have also noticed that they have cut our glass too short, cut the new hardwood at too steep an angle which was bodged in with wood filler, and now it's rained this new roof has massively leaked. In places where the glass is cut too short and even along the length of one of the new wooden beams; must be missing a bit of silicone. It is now Saturday and we have called them 2 days ago on Thursday, yesterday Friday we called and texted, and today again we both texted and one of us called them, to check if they are still coming on Tuesday or not. 3 days is not unreasonable to return a call or text just to confirm either way. More rain is due between now and then, concerned about lack of communication and quality of work.

The TBSS team arrived on time, and did a great job. They achieved an awful lot during the day, completing everything needed in just one day. Made good all work and cleaned and tidied all areas. We thought it was a reasonable price for the amount of work involved. Great job!

Martyn and Cutworx have done a fantastic job on our dormer/loft conversion. Martyn was extremely helpful, contactable, conscientious and sought to satisfy our spec at every turn. At one point they reframed the dormer to satisfy my desire to maximise space. Martyn’s pricing was reasonable and we are extremely happy with the job that has been done. Very professional. Rob Workman IS a master craftsman. I know it says so in writing. But now that our extensive rebuild and extensions are complete, we have seen it with our own eyes as our project unfolded. Rob took our falling down, damp, mouldy, unattractive bungalow and gave us back the keys to what more than one visitor has described as a ‘Grand Designs’ and stunning modern home that meets the highest grade of eco builds. As well as working with meticulous care & always remeasuring twice ‘just to make sure’, Rob proved himself to be good at tackling the challenges & curve balls that doing up a house is always going to throw up. Our roof, and two of the walls, proved to be insubstantial to the point of dangerous. Rob worked hard to find a cost-effective solution which met the approval of the building inspector and structural engineers. As well as Rob working on site, he brought Matt and Josh who were the epitome of polite, careful workers whose own professionalism at everything from groundwork, brickwork roofing & much else besides was a pleasure to see. Other contractors who Rob brought in - such as Simon Stadden Windows - produced great quality work to complement that of the main team. We are than pleased with the work done, with the timeliness of the work, with the price, with the tidiness of the team, and above all with the gorgeous, solid house they have left behind for us. We can recommend Rob and his team unconditionally to those looking for builders.

RAM Roofing did an amazing job from start to finish converting our flat roof extension to a pitched roof with twin Velux windows. Even though they were plagued with the wettest week of the summer, Ryan and his dedicated team were able to cut the roof install the windows, insulation, roof tiles, gable framing extending and forming a soffit all without effecting us internally. Then once the opening in the ceiling cut they did a plastering job to an externally high standard. Although a lot of ‘roofers’ say they can do it all, RAM really can deliver and in reality are a full works Building Contractor. Very impressed. High standard of work. Competitive price. A pleasure to work with.

Oli and his team were really punctual, tidy and reliable. The foundations were not an easy job due to the limited space, depth required and utilities. However they were very careful and kept us updated as to the progress regularly as well as updating and liaising with the building inspector when required.
