Latest review:Carpentry-Gordon undertook a complex and highly skilled job for us. We needed a joiner to reinstate and fabricate ornate panelling in our A listed property plus make and install extremely large panelled double doors. The output from Gordon was first class and undertaken in a timely manner. Moreover (and most importantly), his communication is the best I've come across in comparison to other joiners and tradesman we've contracted before. Always contactable and lets you know arrival times and if there's any issues with materials. Couldn't recommend more highly. If you need to validate this feedback, happy for people to contact me directly for a reference.
David did an excellent job. He was able to sort out three replacement cellar doors in one day, and in time for us to put the house on the market (a particular plus at this busy time). Not only are the doors well hung and fitted, he cleaned up the area so it looks pristine. He also made use of locks from our previous doors, saving us money and improving one of the doors’ security. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Truly Above and Beyond.

All aspects of the job will be dealt with by us, this includes liaising with the local planning authority and building inspectors.

We hired Dougie for a bathroom strip out and re-install, at very short notice (after the original plumber badly let us down) and he was very good –always turned up when agreed, brought some good ideas to the project, completed the work quickly but to a good standard, and always kept us informed of any changes or issues encountered. He takes pride in doing a good job and knows his stuff, so it felt like we were in safe hands, also he made an effort to protect the rest of the house from dirt/damage as much as possible. Note he asked for part payment at the start / early in the project, but given that he had other trades like tiler & plasterer who he needed to book on specific days & pay for, this seems reasonable in retrospect, and we got written receipts for everything. Job done in 2 weeks as per his estimate. Very happy, would use him again.
