Accepted Answer

Many homeowners worry that adding storage space will invalidate their NHBC or similar new build warranty. However, it is always a good idea to check your specific policy wording, too.

A standard boarded loft is designed for light domestic storage, such as suitcases, holiday decorations, and boxes of clothes. It is not built to support heavy furniture or serve as a living space.
