Jay came to price the job after making contact and his communication was clear. We live in a very old house with lots of quirks; he took this into account and saved us a bit of money with the plastering. Plaster was falling off the ceiling and a couple of walls and he inspected the whole room, telling us we were fine to leave two of the walls as they were, as all seemed solid. I imagine he could have told us to have the whole room done, but instead we only had done what was needed. Jay managed to slot us in quickly, completing the work over two half days (allowing the pre-plaster adhesive coat to dry over night), finishing the job on a Saturday morning as a team of two. The price quoted was what we were charged. It's now been about a month since the work was completed, and we're very happy with the results. The room was skimmed nicely and the surface was very smooth. We coated it with Screwfix bare plaster paint before giving it a top coat, and the finish is great. We'll be using him again for future jobs and I have no problems recommending him.

Steve and Chris came to fit a small cloakroom in a previously "dead" space under my stairs. The price was very reasonable and the quality of work was great. In fact, I quickly grew to trust Chris and Steve and they have completed several other jobs since starting the original cloakroom. These include, replastering a room, floor tiling the hall, kitchen and dining room. (The finish Chris attained was exceptional!!) They are like a throwback to the "good old days" when tradesmen were also craftsmen that could be trusted to be reliable, thorough, reasonably priced and hard working. I have already made arrangements for Steve and Chris to do future work in my house.

We are so pleased with the work Lee did repairing all the damage for a leak we had in our shower. Lee was really clear about what needed to be done and the work was completed to a really high standard. Lee was warm and friendly and always left the place immaculately clean and tidy. Obtained 3 quotes and selected Nathan after he visited the site and reviewed work and had conversation. Waited 2 weeks for him to become available and on first day contacted me to say he was pulling off the job. Apparently the door frames of this 1920's house required him to do much remedial work to get them square - primarily Nathan blàmed the plasterer who had overboarded the walls. Walls were passed for payment by two separate surveyors with over 80 years experience of the contruction industry. While it is accepted there were remedial efforts to make the frames square, this is to be expected on a house of this age - and perhaps this is where Nathan lacks experience. If Nathan had wanted to outline additional work and additional money this was open to negotiation - the most unprofessional thing is to turn up on the day of work starting and say you don't have time to do any additional work - especially as the job had been viewed before the work commenced. Didn't want to damage his reputation by providing "sub-standard work", but seemingly oblivious to the reputational damage of letting a customer down at the last minute. I have my doubts as to whether Nathan has the skills to work on houses of this age.
