we hired them to fit our kitchen cabinets. done well with first part, but had to stop the work due to the wall not align with the units. we had paid them almost all the agreed amount, except £ 50.00. we have contacted them once adjusting the wall. but, they did not come back to complete the remaining work, after calling them for many times. it was agreed to agreed to return and check the work after tiling done.we had to pay another carpenter to finish the job. it was very disappointing that professionals like this did not come back to complete their assigned job, in spite of calling them many times.

Our 3 bedroom, Grade 2 listed house is nearly 200 years old and hadn't been renovated since the early 1990's. A complete redecoration and remodel was needed. Their work was done to completion and not too over-time, despite numerous snags and many logistical difficulties. The commitment and patience of all involved was admirable, never once becoming dis-heartened, and always pushing us to make sure materials were on order and if we were happy with the work as it progressed. They have the skills and the ability to improvise as they go. The pricing was fair and actually cheap by London standards. The "finish" was the stage where we all had to come to an agreement over where to stop, and this is usually the most contentious stage in a project. This was surprisingly stress-free. The main snag was with floorboard sanding preparation. If floors aren't 100% prepped, the result can look patchy to the trained eye. They made sure that the end result was acceptable to us when we questioned the finish by doing the entire sand and re-staining over again. That shows great care and attention to customer satisfaction. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have extensive remodeling done to thier property. They are capable of dealing with sensitive historical properties and adhering to a budget whilst correcting errors that appear along the way. A perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness.

I am very humbled to have met Melvin (HM Building & Maintenance)and his team. They were very easygoing, punctual, and professional. They gave me advice on the best course of action to achieve the desired outcome of my project, which included fitting a new kitchen cabinet and tiles, removing obsolete copper pipes and tidying them up to create a much more modern kitchen, and boxing up all the pipework, which looks great. Even better, going beyond defined to ensure a satisfactory service and outcome. I consider myself lucky to have met such a kind, dedicated, professional, experienced, and efficient builder like Melvin (HM building & maintenance). And not avaricious in any shape or form. Deividas was very polite, friendly, professional and fairly priced. He came on time, fully equipped with all tools and got the job done. I would go as far as above and beyond as he had a eye issue which needing seeing too, but he came to finish the job he agreed to complete before his visit to hospital - all to schedule and price. Once the job was done (7/8 doors trimming) he cleaned up and left the place as was - clean and tidy both inside and outside. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Deividas and will certainly be calling him again on some other carpentry work I have planned.
