Our job involved ripping out a previous kitchen and rebuilding an extension to the rear, creating one large living space. Before work commenced, we had about 5 different builders visit the house and quote for the work. Martin and Robin from DCM Builders immediately stood out from the crowd as they were offering suggestions and spend along time with me in order to fully understand my requirements. The whole job took about 7 weeks and during this time Martin and Robin were a pleasure to deal with. They turned up on time every day, were considerate and kept me informed during the whole process. We are extremely happy with the end result and it is clear that the have a lot of knowledge and experience that is evident in the quality finish. This could have been a stressful process but Martin and Robin organised all aspects of the build including electrics, plumbing and waste disposal. We now have a fantastic, modern, spacious and light kitchen and living space that has improved our family time together. We get lots of compliments from friends and family and have already recommended DCM to others who are also happy with the quality of the work. In summary, Martin and Robin are approachable, conscientious, knowledgable and hard working and also have a very high level of attention to detail.

A bad experience with Stu. He said he would start the job within a few days of the quote, however, it turned out to be his junior only, who was onsite for the next 2 weeks on his own. The junior had only just started working with stu for 3 weeks, with only the very basic of skills. I kept asking Stu where he was and why he wasn't doing my job.....turns out he was doing somebodies else's job and charging me full price for a junior. On the very rare occasion that Stu did decide to do some work on my kitchen (he actually did some work for 4-5 days out of a whole month), I found him to be very difficult to work with. He would ask questions that he should know the answers to, he would be argumentative, he would make up endless excuses about why things weren't done, using his children and personal life as the reason. Stu eventually walked out after a month of doing my job. Barely anything was done, and what was done was done in the wrong order so I ended up paying a new builder just as much money as the original quote. I paid Stu almost £2000 and not even the first electrical fix was done. Quite frankly I don't know what to think. Is it because I'm a young single female and I'm inexperienced in these matters ? I have been taken advantage of and feel I am owed at least half of what I paid as have had to pay for another builder to finish the work at more than the original price. Let's hope Stu feels some sense of guilt or remorse for how he has treated me.

Adrian was a lovely guy and I would use again, did a good job of our kitchen, the only negative would be some of the finishing touches, but other than that he never let us down, we trusted him and he never let us down.

Ed made a very nice tidy job of refurbishing my kitchen, new worktops, new sink, removed an unwanted sink, stop off the pipework and drains etc. He was hoping to finish in 1 day but found that there was a missing part, (suppliers fault) and so came back on Saturday to finish the job once I had rectified the shortfall. He was punctual and worked tidily, even putting down a clean dustsheet on the driveway where he was cutting the worktops and removing his boots every time he came into the house. Both myself and my wife are very pleased with the end result and thoroughly recommend him. I know what sort of a job he did because I used to fit kitchens myself before I retired and I am very particular. Nice one Ed!
