Liiam was fantastic, professional and you could tell he took pride in his work. I couldn’t be happier with the job done on my decking, he has completely transformed my balcony whilst also giving me advise and great professional help on other parts of the flat. Thomas Coman was absolutely brilliant. When I shortlisted Thomas, he was new to my builder (although not to his trade) and didn't have many reviews. I have worked in the construction industry for a long time and when he came to quote, it was obvious that he was competent. He was very polite and conscientious in his time keeping and communication. (My family wanted to adopt him). Thomas completed the job on time, helping to give direction to other trades (plumber and electrician) also working on the kitchen. He spotted numerous manufacturing faults and helped resolve them. Since completing the kitchen, we have hired Thomas to complete the utility room unit installation and carpentry work. I have recommended him to other people and have just requested a quote for more work. This is a 5* Trades man!!

John Wardle and his crew did a magnificent job on our bath and shower rooms. We took a chance on Johnny, as being new to My Builder he didn’t have any reviews. Johnny’s assurance that he only did one job at a time was a big plus. Johnny tackles everything with an engineer’s eye. Our bathrooms job turned out to be far more difficult than first thought. Our very quirky stable conversion, last updated decades ago, was challenging. Once the work started it was discovered that the old Velux windows in the bathroom had been secretly leaking behind the tiles for years causing water damage to the joists and walls. A sheet of glass was discovered sandwiched in the stud wall and tiles had been tiled on top of tiles! It was very distressing to see walls, floors and ceilings having to be torn down to fix the problems, but it was comforting to know that Johnny and his crew knew exactly how to do the best restoration job. Johnny contracted in electricians and a heating engineer and organised things so that everything ran smoothly. Everyone worked really well together. All those working in our house were a pleasure to have around: they worked hard, were respectful and friendly. Having confidence in those doing the work made a potentially unbearably stressful situation a lot easier to cope with. We now have a fantastic bathroom and shower room which exceed our original expectations. We are very grateful to John Wardle and his crew and have no hesitation in highly recommending them.

James and his team are truly a breath of fresh air. Have dealt with a few contractors in my time and have been messed about, but on this occasion it went exactly as laid out and the work was immaculate. Very tidy, punctual and hard working. Would definitely recommend and will use again for up coming work.

We are happy with the work Hekmat has done for us - he has really improved the appearance of our 5 radiators (not 4 as in the initial job request) by thoroughly cleaning and applying 2 coats of paint to their visible external surfaces (front, top, sides, pipes) and also painting walls behind and skirting boards underneath. Hekmat also improved the appearance of the wall above one of the radiators where the wallpaper was coming away. Although Hekmat was willing to disconnect the radiators in order to paint the backs, on reflection we realised it would not be worth doing for the extra cost involved. Overall Hekmat charged £220 for the work including the cost of the radiator paint. Hekmat agreed to come out the morning after the job was posted to assess the work required, and we arranged for him to do the work the following day. He arrived punctually on both days. He discussed and agreed with us what paint to use for the radiators and bought this himself, while he used paint we already had for the walls and skirting. We found Hekmat to be reliable, polite, friendly and understanding of our requirements. On the strength of this work we are now arranging for Hekmat to do more work for us in the coming weeks.

Martin and his colleague have done an impeccable job for my kitchen/lounge refurbishment, flooring in the bedroom and painting for the whole flat. They paid attention to the details and gave me valuable advice. They also proactively looked for solutions to certain things that we didn’t expect to have during the works, in order to finalise the the whole refurbishment works to the highest standards possible - both functionally and aesthetically. They were extremely hard-working and put a lot of efforts into their works. As I had to move in earlier before the works had been finished, they always did their best to keep the flat as tidy and livable as possible and sacrificed weekends to complete the works as soon as possible without compromising any details. Martin and his colleague were good at communication, open-minded and flexible, which ensured that the refurbishment catered for my taste. The whole flat has definitively been freshened up after the initial works and all the additional works. I will definitively suggest Martin to anyone.
