Chris is an extremely honest and hard working individual. He is a perfectionist. He could not leave the job until it was just right. Called him back, as I had changed where my units were positioned. He came and sorted it with no extra charge. He worked around when I could be on site. He is a very interesting man who charges a very fair price. He has great skill. He worked in a clean environment and left it that way. Trust worthy and really worth getting a quote. Sometimes you get what you pay for, other times you pay Chris James and you get much much more than you pay for.

PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU HIRE!!!!! Chris completed the leaking roof without issue, during the job we discussed fitting two velux windows into the loft roof. Chris quoted £220.00 for the work and was hired. The windows were fitted incorrectly and both of them streamed water into the loft space. Chris came back twice to try to rectify but still the windows leaked. Despite several promises Chris has never returned to rectify the windows and will not return calls, emails or letters. The windows were fitted in March and are still streaming water into the loft space... the plaster, insulation and paint aorund the windows are ruined. I have even spoken to the window manufacturer to see if they will help but one look at the photos and they said that the installation had been botched. I am a reasonable person and understand that we all make mistakes, but to take the money and run is unforgivable, i have a 10 month old son and a house that is no longer water tight. I have been quoted £500.00 to rectify the mess that has been left and as Chris will not respond to any attempt to contact him am left with no alternative but to chase Chris through the small claims court to recover my money. Think twice before you hire this man!!!!

Chris took out a shower and built me a new bathroom that was suited to my needs exactly. He was very pleasant and tidied everything after he had finished. The job was quickly finished and at a good price. I will certainly use him again for any jobs I need doing.D.Powell.

Responded to my request for a qoute promptly. Supplied a very reasonable qoute. completed the job in promptly. I live in Essex & trying to get something repaired, when not having any contacts in the area was very difficult, but trust a trader enabled me to request qoutes from several tradesman. I only requested one- the tradesman Chris was easy to talk with, knowledgeable, professinal, very reasonable and even completed another job for me at the same time 10 out of 10.

Chris did a great job at rebedding and repointing my ridge tiles. I also asked him to repoint a small section of the wall of the house and clear the guttering which he did with no hesitation. Turned up when he said he would and did a good job without causing any disturbance or mess. Will definately look to use again. Thanks!

Brilliant work. I couldn't recommend Chris more highly. It's always been difficult to get small jobs done and Chris has been the best. Really good price. Done quickly and really well.
