William and his team are really straightforward and reasonable price. We are really happy with their work. Thank you.

Mr Hartley ,without examining roof using ladder,said he charged £400 per day +vat.2 men completed work in 1 and half hours including tea break yet Mr Hartley needed much persuasion to reduce price to £360 incl vat. Materials were a small piece of hardwood and some sealant.I was asked to provide the paint. Work itself was done well

I hired William Hartley to soundproof my bedroom wall. Unfortunately after the work was completed, sound came through just as before, so I contacted them to try and see if they would do some further work and finish the work they started. I had paid them cash in hand at a premium price compared to other quotes expecting a premium wall, so I would rather not have further work, but was willing to have it finished. I was roundly ignored and dismissed. I was told theres nothing more they could do, and despite 7 emails, 2 voicemails, texts whatsapps etc etc, I am now £1000 down on a wall which has not done the job intended. I had 1 reply to these 7 emails, and it was stating they didnt know what else to do. That was it. I have now hired another company who not only offered me a better quote on top of plastering, but have also pointed out thing that William Hartley have done wrong which could make the soundproofing worse than before, such as wood frames touching the sound source, and soundproof boards also touching the source. In general, good workmanship, but if you have any problems, don't expect any help. This would have been a positive review, and more money would have been in their pocket to do a second round of work, had they responded to my emails and accepted further work, rather than ignoring me and dismissing my questions. Its a shame they missed out on a great review and more money due to bad customer after-care. Wont be using again or recommending.

Very happy with the service received from W Hartley. They came out to do a quote promptly and were able to carry out the work the next day. The work was completed to a high standard and the guys tidied up everything afterwards. The guys also informed us of the time they would be coming and updated us when they were on their way. Would highly recommend.

I had a few messages and based on feedback, I hired William's team. Nathan came on the day alone and got on with the job. He was a little bit late collecting materials but I had a call updating me. I was dreading spending additional money over Christmas but it was something that needed doing. Nathan did a good job and unearthed some poor workmanship from the original builders. It was all put right and now I've not no draft problem. Would recommend to anyone.

A good job completed in half a day. They had to repair a length of lead flashing that had come away from the wall and also repair a few damaged slates. All completed and a tidy job.

These guys are grafters. Worked over the weekend and was very impressed by the team. No job is a problem for them and they work with smiles on there faces which is always nice to see. Fair price and very nice guys as well Chris Christou MCIOB AssocRICS
