    Roof tiles Repointed and tiles replaced / Repairs

    I was extremely happy with the work they have undertaken. The were prompt and provided a good quote and they were able to complete the work quickly. The standard of work was high and I would use them again.

    Install a new GRP Flat Roof system over a Bay

    I commissioned W Hartley to install a new GRP Flat Roof over a bay window. I chose the firm because I felt I could trust Mr heartley, and because his stated price was very reasonable. On the agreed day the new roof was installed. But upon inspection I concluded that the work is not fit for the purpose. I reported my dissatisfaction to Mr Harlely, and the following day he sent a new team who removed the badly done work and replaced it to my total satisfaction. I am please to report that I was not wrong in my assessment of Mr Hartley words.He proved to be a trustworthy and honourable man,a novelty in this money grabbing and shoddy work ethics. I do not hesitate to recommend him.

    Install guttering and downpipes

    Wouldn't quote, was only willing to match the best quote we got from someone else. Decided to go with him as he had the most feedback. Called a few days later to ask if the job had been done, and he said 'oh, did he (not sure who) not tell you? We can't do the job'.

    Answer from tradesperson:

    We where told he had a price to fit new guttering around commercial property, we matched the quote to do the same as quoted, when we arrived on site the building was a very old warehouse unit asbestos roofs etc, the access was limited and no one knew who the several scrap vehicles belonged to , To fit guttering to this building you needed to install new rise and fall brackets into the brickwork, not the same as screwing a plastic bracket onto timber Fascias as originally quoted for as the other company who quoted stated fitting new Upvc guttering, when we phoned to explain the issue could not speak with customer so had to cancel and apologies for any inconvenience

    Repair/replace split bargeboard and box end

    William visited my house for a quote almost immediately after I shortlisted him for the job. He and his crew were back the next day and completed the job in 2 days. I am impressed with how efficient and friendly they are. They also showed me the photos about how the job was done. Would hire them next time.

    Putting in a new skylight

    We hired William and his crew to put in a small skylight in our attic bedroom - William visited for a quote promptly and they were back and completed the job 2 days later. Very impressed with his communication throughout, they were very efficient, very friendly on the job and tidied well afterwards. Would recommend them.

    Guttering problem making damp patch on wall

    5 stars-- excellent from start to finish. A big job, pleasant workforce, intelligently managed. They worked hard, through weekends where necessary, cleaned up very well, were friendly, helpful and positive. A rather scary re-tiling job on a rambling old house with lots of odd roofs, they went above and beyond to reassure us. I would recommend this company to anyone.
