We had a galvanised roof put on home built concrete garage. Due to garage being next to a path we needed guttering for water to flow away. Roofing was completed within a week of accepting the estimate but not happy with the wood supports for guttering. We contacted Mr Hartley who said the work would be fitted in when available. In roughly 5 days we received a call saying they were in the area. They took about an hour to replace and improve wood supporting. Very satisfied with outcome.

I've held off from writing this review because I like to think the best of people and do not like leaving negative reviews. I'm afraid that a year after the work was initially completed and despite the Hartley's coming back twice to 'fix' the problem, we still have a serious water leak in the part of the roof that was repaired. Today I have had another roofing company here to look and have been told that both sides of the brand new gulley that was installed by Hartley's are soaking wet inside our roof space and one area has lead to serious damp inside a bedroom. The job has clearly not been done correctly and we now have to get that part of the roof stripped and a new gulley created at our expense. I have to say that Keith, who did most of the work was very friendly and hard-working, but at the end of the job William Hartley himself was extremely rude to us saying that he had lost money on the job, despite them having had plenty opportunity to examine the roof before quoting. They wanted the work so I guess they underquoted the amount of time it would take, then it was apparently our fault because it was more complicated than they thought. Now we have to pay again to get some of their work done properly!! I feel it is my duty to warn others of the potential downfalls of working with this company. I do not recommend them.
