He arrived as promised and worked so hard each day. If we have more tiling in our home we hope Terry will be available. Review left on 2 Apr 2018Rating: 1 out of 5Tile bathroomWas quoted £800 for the whole job. Arrived late on day 1 and was cheeky enough to ask for tea! Paid £160 for 1 days work to remove old tiles and was reasonably tidy but was paid on condition he guranteed to come back and complete. Was scheduled to return on an agreed date to complete job whilst other trades completed work. However, was let down last minute by Terry- citing a hospital appointment. Was sympathetic and was prepared to be flexible but when Terry was asked to come on site prior to his hospital appointment to complete backer board flooring prep due to exposed floor baords being left by him which was allowing water to fall into my kitchen below I received a short, sharp and rude "No". Terry was subsequently requested not to return. Was messed about and should have seen the signs when Terry arrived late on day 1. Not happy with Terry's rude tone on text message and poor customer relation skills. Would not reccommend this unreliable tradesman.Answer from tradesperson:
I did arrive for this job around five minutes late due to traffic conditions in the area, I did apologise for this on arrival. I carried out a days work as completed for the £160. On arrival I pointed out the leak to the client ahead of commencing work and stated that further work would be required before I could I return and complete the job. Unfortunately, due to having to go to hospital I rearranged the completion of the work which the client agreed to. I then received a text message on bank holiday Monday requesting that I attend to complete some of the work earlier which would not have stopped the leak and would have ruined the backer board so the work would not have been completed without further re work. I stated that I could not attend at short notice and apologise should this have come across in a rude manner as this was not the intent. I have also lost out on money where I have purchased materials to complete the piece of work having been asked not to return.

Very good tiler and good to have working in your house, but keep an eye on the grouting! Mainly it was fine but there were a few bits that could have been better!!
