Roger Draper’s quote for replacing the main roof on our house was competitive and he ‘threw in’ the re-felting of the back addition. The main roof all went smoothly. It was done by a group of apparently experienced men within a day, on the agreed day, and with good result. We got a 25 year guarantee (we had to ask him a few times to confirm this in an e-mail). For various reasons the re-felting of the back addition turned out to be more complicated than anticipated and we feel that Roger did not quite meet this extra challenge. Remedial work was required afterwards. However, we recommend his work on the main roof.

We hired Roger to seal the edge of our leaking conservatory, fill a hole and to re-align guttering. He was the cheapest option and available immediately, so we hired him. He came to do the job on a day when me or my partner were not present. He would collect money in the evening. That he did, and unfortunately we could not check the result on that day as it was very dark. We noticed few days ago after a heavy rain that the conservatory is still leaking where Roger was supposed to have repaired it. Finally checked the result and was surprised how badly it was done. The hole had not been filled at all and where Roger had try to seal the edges it looked just like he had shot some silicon out of the tube, but did not even bother to smooth or spread it as you are supposed to do. The silicon did not even go over the edge, but was just laying on top of it sealing nothing.  I sent Roger message that the corner is still leaking but he did not bother to response. We have had few other roofing professionals to look at the conservatory again and they have been appalled by how badly these attempted repairs were done. Basically, wasted 190 pounds for a tube of silicon squeezed on to a place where it does nothing useful. I really don't recommend this quality of work to anyone.

Roger responded promptly to my request for a quote and was competitively priced. He gave thorough advice on the issues identified with the leaking flat roof and a detailed description on how best to repair it. The finished job was done to a high standard and all materials were cleared away. We were very pleased with the end result and thank the team for their hard work in cold conditions!

Quotation was very reasonable. Work was carried out to good standard, all rubbish was cleared. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

I cannot comment on the quality of the work completed and will not be able to confirm successful repair of the leak until there is significant rainfall. Mr Draper was timely, tidy and efficient albeit at an inflated price compared to his verbal quote and one small part of the agreed job was not completed at all. However, his tactics in pursuit of payment have been an ordeal and qualify as harassment. The job was completely on a Friday afternoon and an invoice requesting payment by bank transfer within seven days received that evening. Over the weekend he called more than twenty times sent and left voice, text and email messages of an increasingly threatening nature accusing me of no intent to pay and threatening further action and 'making a scene'. He even turned up in person the following Monday morning at around 10:00am. This has continued despite my being very clear about the inappropriateness of pursing payment in this way when it is not overdue. If you intend to use Mr Draper please bear this experience in mind.

Very efficient and helpful and although I need to wait for some very wet weather to ensure the problem is fixed - I have no hesitation in recommending Roger and his team!

Roger and his team did a very good job fixing potential sources of leakage and re-roofing our dormer. When the job was complete I asked Roger to do some further work for us, re-clading the dormer. Roger and his team were very efficient and tidy and I am happy with the work they performed. I found Roger to be very straightforward to deal with and very responsive to any questions or concerns I had.

Roger came and had a look at our chimney, like many of the other tradesmen who looked he found it difficult to see the likely source of the leak. Even so he gave us some good ideas about how we could eliminate the chimney as a potential source and made us feel confident that if it was the chimney he would find a cause and fix it. He guarantees his work and I feel confident that if the leak persists he will come back and review his work. He was punctual and reasonably priced. Overall very happy with work and service received.
