Mixed feelings. Needed tile repairs, leak repair, bits of lead tidying up, and new chimney cowls on an awkward shaped roof. The work that was done seems a good standard plus a 5 year guarantee and Sam is friendly and helpful, no complaints there, just the way the job was sold and managed could have been better. Was a fairly expensive quote which we accepted as Sam was one of the few roofers with decent reviews available and said the work could be done in 10 days time (ended up being 21 days with not great communication about the delays) and no scaffold needed (accurate and maybe saved money compared to others, but meant one slipped tile identified in the initial visit couldn't be reached), plus was told the work would probably be three guys working for a day (was two guys for less than 4 hours). As I said, what was done seems done well, and the points raised in the quote were all addressed, I guess I just assumed the work would be more thorough/extensive for the price. Happy to recommend Sam, maybe make sure you are detailed about what you're expecting.

Sam and the boys did a very good job turned up when they said they would and reasonably priced as well.

Sam was fantastic from beginning to end. Provided us with a fair priced quote and sent one of his men Dean. The workmanship was brilliant. A complicated job that other people declined was completed by Sam and his guys to a high standard. Would definitely recommend and will use again going forward. Thank you Sam and Dean!

Sam and his colleagues were excellent. Arrived when they said they would. Polite and extremely professional. Sorted out the leaking roof with their great expertise and knowledge. Slightly more than what I wanted to pay but parts are expensive. I wanted a job done properly and thoroughly and Sam and his team were outstanding and certainly met all my expectations. I would highly recommend Sam and his team and I will most certainly be using their services in the future. Thank you Sam and the Team.

The lads re-roofed my garage in two short days - including working through some hammering rain that lasted most of the second day. Did a good job and they knew their trade. New battens, all new felt, can't complain about the workmanship. Looks solid and a good job. Be prepared for a bit of upselling - they quoted for the initial job, but then on the first day before work even began started quoting for extra repointing work and such. It all needed doing, but it would have been better if that was all part of the initial quote to set expectations and not be put on the spot.

I was in despair, carrying buckets of water outside in every rainstorm, due to a roof leak. SS Roofing Services did a quality job in the winter with a full team, initially to repair a damp flat roof over a side room and, after uncovering, it was clearly in need of full replacement. [Previous owners, we found, had kept adding layers of roofing (please do not do that - it's only kicking the can down the road). My last fix was one sheet of rubberised roofing, which after a few years bulged up and let in water, despite the long guarantee; no amount of filler ever stopped that.]. SS Roofing did not recommend rubberised roofing sheets (I agree!) and they have applied (over an impenetrable base layer and the new wooden roof frame) a number of attractive, state of the art, impenetrable rolls, which overlap, are firmly adhered and will not come apart. No bulging in windy weather any more. Quality job. Not only was that solution swiftly accomplished, but also they cleverly redesigned the overflow direction in the most efficient way. All debris was removed and they returned and plastered the new ceiling as an extra contract. The new roof is guaranteed and attractive and efficient. They speedily dealt with a very minor snagging issue and it has been perfect ever since. Contents remain dry. An extra bonus was perfect repair to a chimney stack, now perfect, without expensive scaffolding. It took many years to find somebody for that job. We can now sell on our house with confidence.

I am very pleased with the work that's been done, the work was done too a very high standard and both men worked very hard and got the work done quickly and cleaned up after would definitely recommend them.
