The workmen that came to do the job were polite and tidy.

Wesley Smith was extremely helpful throughout the process of having the ridge tiles re-bedded and a couple of other bits that they found when they examined the roof. The price was very fair and work completed within 48 hours. I have received a written guarantee with the work and Wesley has been in touch to say that if there are any problems then they will return to the property to sort them within 24 hours. Excellent service and would recommend them highly.

We engaged Roof Professionals to fix a leak in our roof adjacent to a chimney. The initial visit from Wesley was good, he was very courteous, identified the work to be done to repair the leak and gave me a quote on the spot. Once the work started, additional work was identified - apparently the ridge tiles were loose along the entire length so needed re-pointing. In hindsight, it may have been preferable to ask them to lift and re-bed the tiles rather than just re-point, but not knowing much about the process at the time we took their advice. As it was, all the guys did was to scrape away the existing loose mortar, knock it away down the roof, and fill in the gaps with some new. As a result, we now have chunks of mortar in our gutters, garden, and presumably in our neighbours garden as well. The repair to the chimney seems OK, although they've removed some of the flashing tiles and just replaced them with more mortar which looks slightly odd. We haven't had any heavy rain yet to really check how good the repair is. For the ridge tile re-pointing, I can't see a good reason why the old mortar wasn't collected rather than just knocked away, hence the neutral score.

Job done in a day. Workmen pleasant and polite. Finished roof looks good, neighbour wanted to know who had done the work. 25 year guarantee - great. Thanks.

Expected a more professional looking outfit for the price and I was a bit concerned about their own safety, but the two guys were friendly and polite and did the job well enough as far as I could see. Cost : £200 Tree sapling removal from chimney area/application of root killer/ selective repointing.
