The customer needed a Gas Safety Certificate. After I arrived the boiler was not working and the whole installation was unsafe. I found out there were a lot of issues and had to classified installation as unsafe, “At-Risk and Gas safety certificate” was a Fail. The customer argued with me that I have no right to do it and the Invoice was not paid. The point of a Gas Safety certificate is to keep the customer safe, but sometimes this does not make them happy. Even the boiler manufacturer confirmed that installation was not safe. The next day I got a call from a customer that his property is damaged because of me and water is everywhere and saying that I can not come to his property anymore. They were claiming that the overpressurized heating system caused this. I have photographic evidence that pressure was set-up right and filling loop valve closed and even after the customer confirmed that he is not sure if this was my fault. Because I have insurance I contacted them they make an official case and give me a case number. The customer was asked to give me a report from the emergency company and his report on why he holding me responsible for the damage. He has not responded to me trying to resolve this.
