Review left on 21 Aug 2018Rating: 5 out of 5Remedial works following a leak from above; There is extensive damage to the paint and plasterboard on the ceiling of the en-suite. The bathroom light has also been removed and will need to be replaced due to water damage. The plasterboard that is visible is covered in black mould and the strength of the plasterboard will be compromised. Moisture readings taken on the ceiling recorded saturated moisture levels. The following works are recommended and will be carried out on the provision that the leak is fixed and confirmation of this has been provided; Removal of the main section of plasterboard from the en-suite ceiling, the section inside the shower cubicle appears ok but may also need to be removed. Assess structural timbers if present and treat for rot if required and also provide additional drying if required. All areas will need to be repaired and redecorated using appropriate interior fillers and appropriate paint colours. ( Matt White) We need someone to plaster the ceiling and apply a 2 coat plaster finish

He did an excellent job and really went above and beyond, even coming back the next day to finish it off when we'd agreed a fee for one day's work. He was also extremely pleasant to deal with; we have a child with special needs and he was very understanding and kind, which made the whole family feel at ease. Absolutely thrilled with the job. They were very professional, excellent time keeping and extremely fair with price. The job in hand (removing artex and re-plasering ceiling) was done to an fantastic standard, I am so happy with the outcome. So happy In fact that I have already booked other work I need doing around my flat. As someone who is completely DIY clueless, they gave me all the best advice on how to get the job looking the best it could possibly be. I could not recommend enough. Mirami from VBuilders was very helpful and prepared to do a small job for me, which it is often difficult to get people to do. He responded rapidly, attended on time to assess and came back to do the job at a time convenient to me. He was polite, introducing himself to my daughter and explaining who he was (I was not in when he arrived), tidied up after himself and explained after-care and how the wall should best be decorated. I was extremely happy with the work that was done. I needed a wall plastering at short notice and he was able to accommodate my tight deadline. My house was left tidy and clean after the work was completed with no mess. Work was completed in a week when he started Work description. Sort bathroom out and done other works for my mum and brother in law. Sorting curtain rails. Filling hole on ceiling. General advice in house maintenance etc as they are Good. Very reliable, friendly and willing to engage to sort all issues out. Have been using him for years now and will continue to.
