Completely Plaster board and plaster my Garden Room - Walls and ceiling. We agreed a scope and price. Phil arrived very promptly and once set up, was left to get on with the job. I was on nights and he was able to get on with the job without disturbing me. When finished Phil gave me advice on what to do next. The job was very tidy and all material was removed from site. Phill was very polite and worked in a clean and tidy fashion taking care to cover all necessary areas. I will certainly be using Phil again. Arriving on time, keeping to the agreed schedule and kept everything tidy and they cleaning up each day so that you really didn't know they were around. The price was competitive and they worked and kept to the estimated / agreed price. Phil explained each step of the process and when I asked for small adjustments he / they were very helpful and accomodating. I would certainly reccomend them without any hesitation, you get what you pay for and Phil is a skilled tradesman and delivers a quality job. I will certainly use them again if an occasion arises. Phil and Jordan were excellent plasterers arriving on time and tidied up as they went along. I added work on to them that was t a problem. I am so pleased with the finish and they have certainly followed through on their commitment. Review left on 27 May 2021Rating: 1 out of 5Plasterboard walls and hang back doorAvoid this company, quoted me £2650 to partly plaster board and re plaster my house which I accepted , Phil came and quoted the job but only showed up the first day and had his 24 years old son doing the work, after only three days the house had been completely rushed through and many walls were already skimmed he initially estimated it to take 10 days but then it changed and they said it would be finished in 6 days , incredibly fast for a whole house to be plastered by one person , Phil requested I pay £1850 on day three , I stated I don’t usually pay until the job was finished but stupidly agreed to pay half (£1325) once the plaster dried the next day it looked awful there were holes, trowel marks , lumps you could see the plasterboard ! I even had a different plasterer come in the house and he could not believe the workmanship and stated this had been “slashed” through and needed another coat! I rang Phil to discuss this and he stated they wouldn’t be doing another coat on the walls and hung up the phone and text “see you there in the morning” I showed up at the house at 8am to meet them to discuss the problem and they had completely cleared all their tools and had disappeared off the job whilst also stealing materials which I paid for and leaving the house a big mess. Utterly shocking. Avoid unless you want a complete headache !!!Answer from tradesperson:
to all new customers . this imature person called me whilst under the influence on a sunday afternoon. we agreed the price after alot of haggerling by him. we started on the tuesday i was there 3days , my son the 4th day as i was having 2nd covid jab. 90% of the top floor was complete with no problems . (as i thought) as the client had been on site every day after we had left to look at the job with no complaints. he even asked me to plasterboard and skim a fire place, build a studwall for a shower and makegood all skirting lines prior to skimmimng as he had removed them. none of which was in the original quote. but i was there to help so i did these jobs with no arguments. (as an extra) . this was a refurb job where a 24 year old lad didnt want to spend much money. it was quoted as a pva bond and skim to tidy up. not a full chop back and re float and set. i removed 6 bags of plaster from the job to compensate the 20 angle beads , scrim tape , pva bond which i supplied . i have been doing this sort of work for over 35 years , and this is the first negative feed back. it digusts me how rogue customers can slander decent people . i ask you, if it was so bad why pay me £1325. and why did the carpenter turn up one day whilst he wasnt there and remove his tools and leave ? please dont let this imature person put you off. contact me any time if you just want advise or a quote and i will be more than happy to do so. my son and i are genuine hard working people unlike this client.
