Nouredine quoted me for £850 to plaster my garage which was the same as another plasterer. I made it quite clear that it was a vaulted ceiling and he was willing to quote just by looking through the window so I assumed he would stick with that quote.
He also quoted me ~ a days work at £420 for the heavy boarding work although I understood it could end up being a bit more. During the work he was only on site some of the time and his helpers didn't seem to be very competent. They only used half the screws I provided which meant the boards weren't properly fixed and they didn't use the pilot drill which risked splitting rafters and screws were left protruding. He then charged me £800 (~ double original estimate) and also decided to revise his fixed plastering quote of £850 to £1,150 claiming he didn't realise it was a vaulted ceiling (in the job description).
I decided not to take him on for the plastering and my builder is rectifying boarding work. Nice guy, maybe I just got unlucky
