Review left on 10 Jun 2018Rating: 3 out of 5Combi Boiler Service and Gas Safety Certificate(Updated on 13 Jun 2018)Perry provide a boiler service (£80) and exchange of boiler feed loop (£45). During the boiler service he identified that the boiler casing seal had aged and needed replacement, but that everything else with the boiler was in good working order apart from this. He told me that he would have to turn off the boiler if this was not replaced. To exchange the seal, he initially quoted £60, which I questioned. After my boyfriend spoke to Perry on the phone, asking for details about the supply cost of the seal Perry reduced the cost to £50 (but still didn't tell us an exact per meter cost of the seal, which he stated was expensive and bought on a "large roll"). In the end, Perry gave another £5 discount for the exchange of the seal.Answer from tradesperson:
I feel a neutral feedback is unfair for my work, your boiler was dangerous the seal that makes sure the emissions do not come back into the room had perished so you could of potentially been poisoned by Carbon monoxide. I showed you the old seal And explained what needed to be done and gave you a quote before I started work. I told you and your partner that I wanted £40 to fit it and £20 for the seal. I’m sure your life’s are worth more then £60
