I hired mark to do some work for me, he was punctual,polite and I was very happy with the outcome.

I hired Mark to do damp proofing my cloakroom . He was punctual and communicated well with me. He informed me clearly of the problem and told me how he will treat it, the cost and time it will take. The work was done as stated to a very high standard. He is very polite and professional and tidy. I am very pleased with the outcome and will highly recommend him.

Very honest and explained everything clearly to us. Turned up on time. Didn't suggest that we have unnecessary work done. We would definitely hire Mark when we next need a builder.

Do not hire Mark Nolton/MK Damproofing for your requirements. I have been totally ripped off him and his shambolic workmanship and unprofessional-ism. I originally hired Mark to treat an area of mould growing in my property in 2012. He installed a vent which didnt solve the problem so I arranged for him to come back to the property in December 2013 to apply mould resistant paint to the room in question. On the day he was booked to carry out the works he failed to attend the property, citing van trouble. The appointment was re-arranged and the painting was applied to the room in question. Mould was also found growing in another bedroom so Mark said that he would come back to the property on the 2nd January to apply more paint to that area, to be included in the original quote of £180. Two weeks into January he hadnt attended the property. He arranged and missed two further appointments without calling or providing any explanation to my tenants. Finally, he attended the property last Friday and applied white paint around the corners of a room which is a peach colour leaving a complete monstrosity, his explanation was that he only had white paint available and that the money I already had paid didnt cover him buying the correct paint. The rooms are both 3 meters wide max, there would have been more than enough in one tin to cover the walls. He didnt call me to give me the option of buying more paint and the state he has left the room in is quite unbelievable.

Mark is very friendly, clearly explained the process and has done a great job in an awkward and tight space. The third coat was drying very slowly but reorganised things to come back for a few hours the next morning to ensure it was finished properly with a fourth layer. Highly recommended.

Mark damp-proofed a small section of a wall in the kitchen and did some plastering in the kitchen and also on the landing. The quote he gave was competitive, he and his mate were clean and tidy and they finished the job well within a day. The finish of the plastering is very good. Overall, I was happy with the job that Mark did and would definitely use him again if I need any more plastering doing.
