I have had a particularly difficult roofing problem for a considerable period. In times of high wind and rain from the south-west, water manages to seep into a rear chimney stack, through the loft space below, and down into a top bedroom. Over the years, I have employed three or four roofers, none of whom has managed to fix the problem.
It says something for Michael Cronin's skills and patience that he has come closest to resolving the problem. He diagnosed two old and faulty cowls, which were replaced and which, until very recently, seemed to be working perfectly. Only the force of a recent torrential storm has allowed dampness in again -- though at a much reduced rate from previously. I shall be contacting Michael shortly to ask if there is anything further he can do. And I am sure I shall receive a reply that is thoroughly professional and reliable. He is a builder of the 'old school', courteous, attentive, skilful, and more than willing to go the extra mile to finish a job perfectly. I can recommend him without hesitation.
