Several months ago I noticed a gap in my roof whilst I was in the loft. I initially thought it was a gap to allow air to flow in and out but grew concerned when I had a builder tell me that I should get it looked at by a professional roofer. I managed to get a roofer in (who kept bashing on at me about joining his church and how I should read the bible) who had a look and told me that I had 2 tiles missing and that he would have to source the tiles from far. In total I would have to pay him £500 to source, place a scaffold and amend the two tiles as he would have to relay a few courses in the process. I put the job off as I didn’t have the money to hand. I recently put the job out on here to get it finally done and heard from Ted of Ivory Property Services yesterday. I decided to go with Ted as he sounded like a nice guy. Ted turned up at my house today whilst I’m at work and called me. He asked where the damage was, I told him where it was. He told me that he had checked everywhere and there are no missing tiles. I explained to him what had happened previously and we both realised that the bible basher tried to pull a fast one on me. I apologise to Ted for wasting his time, but he was a real gentleman about it. He could have easily scammed me like bible basher tried to and said that he carried out the repair but he was completely honest with me and explained the ridge and how it allowed condensation out. I highly recommend Ted & his company. The world needs more honesty.
