The kitchen units and flooring were fitted badly. The job was too big for him, paid for professional service but received DIY work, very unhappy with his work

I could not be happier with the job that Nick did. Efficient, punctual, careful and a really neat and tidy job on messy water-damaged floorboards and joists, and plasterboard cover for plumbing in a downstairs cloakroom. Would absolutely recommend and ask him to do other work.

Job managed well and completed to my satisfaction. Friendly and obliging person.

Nick & his team have been with us for quite a few months, and have done an absolutely superb job extending our old cottage. They've worked through some horrendous winter weather adding several rooms to the house, and have dealt with various issues with the old house very effectively. They are a very professional and friendly team, and have been brilliant discussing our ideas and progressing additional work we have thrown into the mix as the project has evolved. We are now the proud owners of a larger, but very characterful cottage. We've had loads of compliments from neighbours and visitors about the work done, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nick and his team at Hammertime UK to anyone. A job very well done, thanks guys!

Hammertime Review (New Trusses and joists on Bungalow) I needed a very experienced tradesman to erect a pre-manufactured roof. My bungalow refurbishment project literally had walls and then you could see the sky; I needed an experienced roof carpenter to complete a roof which consisted of a pitched section and a flat section with a roof lantern. Various tradesmen attended the site to submit a price but Nick was noticeably different. Nick was well-spoken, polite and seemed very knowledgeable. Nick’s price was competitive (almost identical to another tradesman) but his attitude seemed superior. We agreed a starting date and Nick started and finished exactly when we agreed. The work was carried out to a very satisfactory standard. Upon completion I asked my Building Regs inspector to approve the work. Barring two minor areas which BR required remediating, the roof was approved. The two minor areas of remediation would have taken approximately 1 or 2 hours to fix and Nick offered to do the remediation free of charge in a few days. I didn’t take Nick up on his offer because my team of roof covering guys (tiling etc) were booked to start before Nick could visit for remediation. All in all, dealing with Nick and his team was a pleasure.

Great job done and quickly. Very reasonable on price. Clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend and will be using again in the future.
