Review left on 13 Mar 2020Rating: 1 out of 5Fault finding
We posted a job on the site looking for an electrician to carry out some SIMPLE tasks for us finishing up on a job. I liked the look of “Frank” and his age, rating etc. We contracted LMC electrical for the job. However, a completely different person turned up claiming he was “Frank’s son Liam” we gave him the benefit of doubt and let him go ahead with the tasks we had (underfloor heating and fault finding to various sockets) for him. Liam clearly was inexperienced and out of his depth and quite frankly had no idea what he was doing. Liam’s visit to our project had resulted in a completely ruined job that now needs to be ripped out and reinstalled at a charge not of the customers. It has pushed back our schedule and resulted in my company taking a massive hit from what was supposed to be a simple job. Liam was paid well for the work completed and on time. We have been ripped off by a cowboy and will be seeking compensation for the shoddy sub standard work completed by Liam McCarthy from LMC electrical. Warning to others avoid this company like the plague. You wont even get the person doing the work who’s account it is.Answer from tradesperson:
This contractor employed us to carry out fault finding on a circuit in the property, this was completed successfully. They then asked if Liam could carry out an extra job could be done whilst there, he obliged. The underfloor heating circuit that the client laid was tested found in good order and provided him with the readings,we returned 3 days later after the tiling had been completed, re-tested to find that the circuit had been broken, presumably whilst the tiles were being laid. This client has blamed My company for the damaged caused and demanded payment of £500 or he would leave “negative feedback” We would not allow ourselves to be bullied and this is the reason he left negative feedback. In regards to someone turning up who isn’t the account holder, I have a number of electricians over London and the South East of England working for my company, It would be impossible for me to attend every job myself and also have time to do all paperwork that is needed. This is why I employ a number of highly skilled electricians and alarm specialists including my son Liam who I have put through college, gaining all necessary qualifications along the way. You can see in previous feedback left by customers that Liam has worked outstandingly on many occasions as these are the high standards held here at FMC Electrical. Our aim is for complete customer satisfaction and I would urge everyone to please review the amount of positive feedback we have received over the years..

Review left on 24 Feb 2020Rating: 5 out of 5URGENT - fuse box tripping on one RCD. Monday 12pm-3pm.(Updated on 3 Mar 2020)Liam was very quick to respond to my problem. He went to the flat and got the circuits working for my tenant very quickly and although he couldn't return to complete the work (as he was away) he offered advice and other contractors to help with the full repair. He was reasonably priced and we had very good communication throughout. Many thanks Liam ;)Review from richard85275, Willesden, London richard85275, Willesden, London
