Review left on 24 Jul 2022Rating: 1 out of 5Replace kitchen extractor fan.(Updated on 25 Jul 2022)I hired Frank McCathy of FMC Electrical to replace my old Cooker Extractor Fan with a new one.Frank had no clue what he was doing. He unnecessarily drilled holes to stabilise the chimney part of the extractor fan.This resulted in undesired vibration of the extractor fan when switched on. I bought another brand new Extractor Fan to replace the damaged one. I phoned Frank about this.He said he will call me back but to date he never called back. The second brand new extractor fan has now been fitted professionally by Electrician neighbour of mine and is working perfectly well to my satisfaction.Answer from tradesperson:
Edward, This updated feedback after originally posting an outstanding positive one is confusing. The extractor that I put up for you was very noisy which I showed you before we put the chimney component on, you said it is fine and to carry on with putting it up. As there was no way of fixing the chimney due to there being no screw holes, you suggested we make our own, which I told you I was happy to do only at your discretion. You were very happy with the outcome on the day. You then phoned me to tell me you don’t like how noisy the old one is and that you have been sent a new one by the company who will be coming to pick up the old one the following day. I told you I was unable to make it that day, it was a Sunday and I already had other commitments, you then removed the original positive feedback and have written this new one which does no state the true facts. Unfortunately this has left me no longer with a 100% positive feedback which we thrived to uphold. If future customers read this I can only assure you that the rest of our 250+ positive feedbacks show you the quality of work you will receive should you choose to hire FMC Electrical.
