John , firstly your old box couldn’t trip as it had no RCD , i advised you that your property needs a rewire but you have decided not too, your earth and meter tails were upgraded as the originals were under sized , the original job was to accommodate a wire you had run for an immersion heater which was fed into the board as you had asked you then wanted the element wiring in which was t on your original job (please read it!) , as for loose bricks the cellar was damp and bricks were not secure as you are aware , also the wall where the consumer unit was wasn’t good enough, there were bare conductors exposed also now you have placed feedback on here rather than talk to me when you were asked if you were happy before I left the site which you stated you were , very disappointing.......
