Good honest craftsman. Took time to be sure the job was as I wanted and of a standard he could put his name to. Solved problems as they arose and kept me informed through the project of what was happening. I will use again and have also recomended him to Friends

Dermot did a fantastic job of building a cupboard for our boiler. He did a quick and efficient job, and was very flexible with fitting in with our work schedule. His price was also very reasonable. He's a very friendly guy - and would definitely recommend him to others!

Dermot did a fantastic job installing a solid wood external front door, replacing an ageing one, which also represented a high security risk. The price, given the large amount of work involved, was very reasonable. We now feel incredibly secure (and warm!) within the building. The door has 3 solid, British Standard, Insurance Approved (Kite-Marked), locks and in terms of aesthetics looks absolutely spectacular. Dermot is also extremely knowledgable, personable and hard-working. His skill, attention to detail, and pride in the level of his work is something that is extremely hard to find in this day and age. As a result of this he comes very highly recommended. I will definitely be hiring him for further high quality carpentry jobs in the near future.

Let me start by explaining I am extremely cautious in hiring builders after several pretty nasty horror stories. As a result I'm a reluctant and suspicious client... Thankfully Dermot has notched one up for the good guys; From the outset we found him to be friendly and communicative, and offered a lot of useful advice. Once we'd agreed a (very good) price, work started promptly. Dermot doesn't just work to the brief, he works to his own very high standards too and the end product, whilst only a cupboard, was more than we had expected. The attention to detail and consideration put into every aspect was very refreshing. In addition to excellent workmanship, Dermot was more than happy to go out of his way to work around our routine - meaning starting a little later than he would normally to allow us to get the children sorted without rushing - which meant there was absolute minimum of disruption for the family. I can't recommend Dermot highly enough. He's now 'our' carpenter and have other jobs we intend to get him back for. As a pair of designers we have high standards, and Dermot met them. Trustworthy, respectful, enthusiastic, reliable and talented.

Absolutely superb, we cannot rate Dermot highly enough. We will be using Dermot again for sure. His work was top class and his attention to detail is so comforting. We look forward to working with Dermot again in the near future. Very highly recommended.

Dermot arrived on time and gave us advice on what needs to be done in the property and how much it could cost. Will be happy to employ him again.

Dermot arrived the day after we spoke on the phone and I was pleased to have found someone who was willing to view the job at such short notice. I chose him on the basis of the good record he has on mybuilder and am pleased to say that he can now add me as another satisfied customer. The job was to fit an awkward extractor fan in a loft bathroom, including a weathering slate to a slate roof and connecting up the AOV. The job was completed in one day and he stuck to his price - I have encountered builders who, once a job is completed, will argue for more money on the basis that they did more work than planned. This was not the case with Dermot, despite the job having a some complexities. I will use him again and will be recommending him to my neighbour who requires her roof to be done.
