They have completed the work on our property and found more work that needed doing. We now have a roof that doesn't leak and appears to hold up well to the weather. Nelson was accommodating and wanted to fix a few of the initial issues we noticed with the work and was sincere in his desire to leave us satisfied.
If I was to give any advice to anyone wanting to use Direct Roofing:
1. Make sure that you check everything has been done to your specification thoroughly. Especially parts that are not visible. We have found a lot of mess left after the work was completed in places that they thought we would not look. My roof space was full of rubble, broken tiles, mortar and moss. All hedges around the house were likewise full of rubble, mortar.
2. We felt rushed to pay within a short timescale after the job has been completed, and were not able to fully check the work.
3. For the price we paid, more attention and care should have been taken to leave the site tidy. Instead, they spent a lot of time touting for and doing work on neighbouring properties.
I am now on day 3 of insulating the loft space, it is getting quite tiresome pulling out chunks of mortar and tiles from underneath the valleys and sofits where direct roofing were working.
Overall, the roof looks much better than it did and we are happy with the finish, however, as with any expensive job, we suggest you set clear expectations to both parties upfront, not relying on people treating it as their own.
