Review left on 5 Dec 2018Rating: 1 out of 5Painting bathroom,kitchen,and bedroom and papering.(Updated on 7 May 2019)Hired Mr Jones after reading reviews.Very disappointed,he tried to charge me £70 more than the agreed price and when I refused to pay it he left the house in a terrible mess with dust everywhere, masking tape still stuck to carpets and the radiators,and the low voltage lights that were lowered to paint ceilings were left hanging.This of course,had I been an elderly person would have required employing someone to replace them. Critically though the one light was left hanging directly over the shower in the bathroom!Dust and paint all over the landing outside the front door as if he'd shook his dust sheets off there.Wont be using him again,conducting your business by text message ...very unprofessional.Answer from tradesperson:
I contacted Mr jeavons and apolagised he did say he would retract the negative feedback but he hasn't I am trying to build a business for my two sons and son in law who work with me so profit is not as important as customer satisfaction there was a misunderstanding about the cost of the Dulux diamond Matt which I recommended but didn't make it clear that this would be an extra cost so I just let it go I certainly didn't deliberately leave a mess like the feedback suggests the spotlights were dropped about 5 mm just needed a fingertip touch to pop them back in if the are replaced while the paint is soft it can peel the paint next time they are removed,there are are couple of things ( masking tape,dust and the shower light which we should of sorted and again I do apologise for that,we are constantly aware that we are working in people's homes so we do try our best to as much as possible to keep everything clean and tidy. Preparation does require a lot of sanding which inevitably creates dust

He gave me a good price on painting the rendering of my house and had his team there within a week. Two days later it was finished, and to a very high standard. Good attention to detail and a very professional service. Will definitely use again.
