Unfortunately as the woodwork needed time to dry and he couldn't come back we have had to sand down, fill and finish the paintwork. However, he worked for quite a while on what was a tricky doorway (and was essentially repairing someone else's poorly and unfinished work) so we were very grateful he could do the work.
