as a tradesman you have a sixth sense for what we call in the trade "dancers" customers that in hindsight you would have steered clear of. First point this is a pack of lies he's arrogant and immature in terms of how he dealt with me and others by the stories he told me in regards to previous trademen, one he handed £17k to and lossed it after he walked out on him more than likely due to his attitude it stinks. He shortlisted me on my builder to replace a heating element and a zone valve on his heating system, he refused my own diagnosis on the basis he would settle me at the end of the job. unbeknown to him I had wondered what had happened to whatever engineer had originally diagnosed this fault. I never bothered to ask as it was clear to me he was simple, difficult or even both. So he wanted me to supply and replace both parts, I asked him for a deposit to pay for his parts and the stories then started coming and he kept trying to resist I had to make it clear his job would not be going ahead without deposit. I had 2 of my engineers at his hs on time and complete the job to exemplarery standards. After my engineers left I called him and confirmed he was happy he said he wanted to test, well this should have taken no more than 2 hrs. The guy took more than 2 days when my responsibility for his job ended when I had sent him his final invoice. I gave this customer some stern home truths and I think it has bruised his ego so he vowed to ruin me with horrendous feedback.
