    Best Finish? No. Certainly not. We were certainly taken in by Best Finish Decorations Ltd aka Edward Kinay - real name Irfan. We were quoted £800 by for 4 days work to redecorate 3 bedrooms (2 medium sized, 1 small) with a 50% upfront payment of £400. Assurances were made of preparation, sanding, filling, caulking and a good job was promised, although Irfan made it clear he was not happy with our choice of wall paint (Dulux). For our part, we cleared 90% of the rooms and all radiators were removed. On completion, trustingly I paid without inspecting properly. As it turned out, the whole job was rushed to finish in 3 days, about 21 hours work. There were many flaws in the walls, some of which we had to point out, many still remain. There was a major issue with the skirting boards - there was no preparation, a quick brush over with paint and large areas had no paint at all - we have the photographs. In general, we believe there was minimal preparation of walls, woodwork etc. On complaint and after sending photographs to Irfan, we received a £100 refund. In retrospect, I realise this was not adequate recompense as I now have had to completely prepare and paint the skirting boards in all 3 bedrooms. On further complaint through MyBuilder, I requested a further £100 - no response. I certainly would NOT recommend using this "decorator" and fully expect a response of excuses - however there is no excuse for lack of preparation and corner cutting.

    Mr Draper Apologies for my late reply in responding to your review. We Take all reviews very seriously It has always been our policy and in the best interests of our customers to provide a great decoration experience with great results.The quotation was for 3 rooms. 2 coats to ceilings and woodwork( paint supplied by us) repairs to the walls, 2 coats of paint applied to the walls( supplied by you), we advise our customers when they supply the paint to buy a good quality trade paint for a good finish Dulux non trade takes 4 coats to cover. The skirtings, frames,sills painted in satinwood (supplied by us) The Cost £800 time 3/4 days for completion. Edward made repairs to the walls after you removed the radiators which created extensive damage ,done free of charge. It’s with great importance to Best finish to correct and adjust any flaws or error .You were offered a call back from Edward to discuss your discrepancies and to make an appointment for them to be repainted.You Replied you wanted £100 refund and to be paid to your PayPal account instead of repainting to take place. The Payment of £100 was made promptly Your last correspondent to Edward stated you wanted a further £100 paid to your PayPal account for the skirting After carefully consideration to this matter of complaint, I wont be able to proceed with any-further repayments on the grounds that you were offered a professional service of amendment .     Community centre
    We run a council community centre, which was due its 5 yearly redecoration. We chose best finish out of all the quotes we had for being reasonable and using the best paints, seeing we are using public funds for the work we had a 10 day working window to have the work done, not only did they complete before time 8 days. Alex the painter I spoke to on site was very professional. The site was left very clean at the end of the work. 5 Stars , we would look to hire again should we need more redecoration to be done.     Large kitchen/diner painting job.
    Thank you Edward - fantastic job. I am so pleased with the result of Edward's work and attention to detail. I could not ask for a better finish. My kitchen is completely rejuvenated and the painted cupboards make it look like a new, designer kitchen. A pleasure to work with him and his team. Would highly recommend Edward if you really do want a Best Finish. Might sound a bit of a gimmicky name, but he really does what it says on the tin. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" is certainly true in this case. I would definitely use Best Finish Decorations again. Look at website - my kitchen will be on it shortly!

    Living room and hall painted
    Fantastic work. Edward really did a great job with amazing attention to detail. He did a few extras that he noticed for free IE repairing/skimming a few cracks in the wall before painting it. Price was really good too. We will definitely be calling him again when we continue the rest of the house.

    Hired for 4 Days work for wall papering and Muriel’s. Friendly,respectful and tidy. Checked their feedback on another site which was all I needed to hire them. Very pleased with work done and have more for them in the near future. Thank you both.
