Moss removal from roofs
Adam quoted for 2 jobs on 7th Feb and we instructed him to proceed on 9th Feb. We warmed to Adam and were also happy with his price. These jobs were;
1) Moss removal from roof
2) Renewal of gutters, fascias and soffits
The moss was removed on 4th March and he did a good job of removing the moss and cleaning up. He also did a few extra bits for us whilst here. Since then, we have been waiting for a date for job #2. In fairness, Adam did take 2 weeks off for a holiday and has been dealing with some wet/windy weather upon his return. After numerous attempts to make contact (phone calls & texts), he has made contact today and is unable to commit to a date to complete the works, therefore we have decided to go elsewhere to complete the 2nd job (which is a shame). This job is a high priority for us, and whilst we have been patient, our job hasn't been a priority for Apex (emergency repairs keep taking priority over existing customers).
Thanks
Answer from tradesperson:
Thanks for the review Chris and the positive comments. Agreed about the fascia’s, it is a shame I was looking forward to it but unfortunately priority has to be with repairs in this current weather. I would like to think I’m doing my job properly if I prioritise a young family with a badly leaking roof over a job which is purely for aesthetic gain existing customer or not. I’m sorry you don’t feel the same but during storms you will find most other roofing firms lean towards the repairs as priority. It’s industry known
