I was sceptical when Max said he’ll fit the kitchen and utility both in 2 days while others said 4-5 days. We spoke in person which was re-assuring, his quote was reasonable, reviews were positive, I decided to go ahead and am I glad I did.
Unfortunately, there were a number of kitchen supplier issues faced which were overcome. 1 - Inconsistent unit sizes meant there was a gap between some unit, Max made adjustments to minimise this and used a matching strip to conceal. 2 - Short draws sent by supplier, fillers were used on either side to gain 10cm before the end panel but Max also added extra battons to give stability and support, which many would not have done. 3 - Max used his own parts as we had some missing, to avoid delaying the fitting. 4 - The supplier sent tall cupboards in wrong sizes with short doors, this meant fillers would be used which would not look right. Instead, we had to replace a number of doors, end panels, re-adjust the fridge, raise all wall units, while this was not my fault nor Max’s, he gave a reasonable price for this extra work.
I would also ask for advice such as handle positioning, unit placement, Max would give me his opinion which I took on board - I’m sure by the end Max got fed up with my 101 questions. The kitchen fitting was perfect, they would arrive on time, clean up and could be left to carry on without any supervision. A few small bits left, but Max has promised he’ll come back and finish these off once the worktop is fitted.
