AME painters did a decent job painting our flat, however we were left feeling disappointed due to a number of issues.
We were told that 2-3 people would be working at our flat for 5 days, but half the work was done by the least experienced member of the team by himself. For example my husband noticed when he came from work that he had been touching up a wall that was finished in Little Greene Intelligent Matt with eggshell paint.
Whilst overall the painting was completed to a reasonable standard there were several issues. Our floors were not well protected (as had been promised), so there are paint marks around the perimeter of every single room on the floor boards, which will take a lot of time and effort to clean up. There were a few spots where walls and ceilings needed patching up (holes due to electrical outlets having been moved) and these were not sanded down to a flat surface with the existing wall (the lumps and bumps from the filler are clearly visible). We were assured that the painters would remove ceiling light covers before painting, but this was not done and as a result there is paint on the lights and the painting edge is not clean.
We felt this was a result of not sufficient progress being made in the middle of the week and in the end they were rushing to complete the job, sacrificing quality in the process.
We feel a little bit let down as Andi had assured us that we can expect a very high quality of work from his team, but this was not the case for us.
