Check oven connection and install, plus a few other jobs
The AO engineer wouldn’t fit our new oven when it was delivered on Wednesday as the wiring failed the electrical tests. I explained that an odd job man used to live here. I wasn’t sure if he was called John Wayne or Butch Cassidy, but it was something along those lines :-)
It’s now Sunday and John has just come and fixed it for us. The connection to the consumer unit is good, he replaced the cooker switch as the old one was stiff and hard to use and he connected the oven. He also replaced a power socket we’ve had problems with in the past and also checked another socket that might have been installed by the cowboy who used to live here.
After I managed to connect the new smart oven to the WiFi, (not as simple as I thought it would be!) I managed to switch the oven on and all is working ok.
We decided not to do the other jobs we wanted doing for the moment, but we had a chat with John about getting them done later this year.
Nice one John! Thanks for your help.
